Apps in the Pros: Basketball Edition (Where are they now?)

With this year’s SoCon tournament upon us, I thought I would dig up some information about some former App basketball players.  We talk a lot about the former Mountaineers that play football and baseball professionally, but we don’t hear much about the former App Basketball players scattered across the globe who are still playing.  The list below only includes information about players who played professionally during the 2012-13 season.

Jeremi Booth
Team: CS Farul Constanta (Romania)
League: Romania-Liga Nationala

Jeremi is averaging 10.2 points per game.  With five games to go, CS Farul Constanta is 4-21 and are in 14th place out of 16 teams.


Isaac Butts
Team: Moncton Miracles (Canada)
League: NBL (Canada)

Isaac led his team with 10.3 rebounds a game.  His team was also ranked 1st in the league in rebounding and blocked shots.  He also averaged 13.8 points and 1.6 blocks.  The Miracles finished 20-20–good enough for 3rd place in the league.


Omar Carter
Team: Winner/Limeira (Brazil)
League: NBB

Omar is leading his team in scoring with 14.4 points per game.  He is shooting 49.6% from the field and 42% from behind the arc.  The team is and 11-15 is in 12th place out of 18 teams.


Donald Sims
Team: BK Ventspils (Latvia)
League: Latvian Baltic League


Donald is leading his team in scoring (12.4) and assists (3.0), and is second on the team in steals (1.4).


D. J. Thompson
Team: STB Le Havre (France)
League: ProA

D. J. is averaging 6.3 points and 3.1 assists.  His team is in 11th place out of 16 teams with 9 games remaining.


Andre Williamson
Team: Liege Basket (Belgium)
League: Belgium-Ethias League

Andre is only averaging 5.5 points per game, but is shooting a team-leading 61.8% from the field.


Kellen Brand and Donterious Hughes
Team: South Carolina Warriors
League: ABA

No stats available.  But the Warriors are 21-2 and have a current home winning streak of 47 games.
