Re: Beat stAte

How many times have we been at or around .500 this year just to fall flat. Good start but look lost again now.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

South Alabama is a little different due to the recruiting exposure in the panhandle. Troy is much more comparable to us.

Re: Troy at Home

1 year extension seems like a safe play. As long as they don't lose out. Seems reasonable. I understand the rationale of a coach not being able to recruit with no contract. OTOH, you just can't commit another long-term deal yet based on what we've seen. Now, go win the Sun Belt tourney and we can r...

Re: TONIGHT BB GAME

First road win of the year for South Alabama. Typical Apps get some excitement then lose winnable home games. I was wondering where you had been. Then I realized, the basketball team had been winning. And now here you are again. Dude, what’s your ax with Coach Fox?! Did he cut you or something?? Bu...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...

Something that hurts the look of attendance is the fact that 10k worth of students pack into 7k worth of seats.

My first suggestion is getting rid of the temporary end zone seating and moving the band to the East Side next to visiting fans.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

Yeah UT ain't coming to Boone.

Teams who fit the bill:

Virginia, Duke, SC, Ga Tech.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

Schools we are more than likely to have P5 home and homes with are going to be schools that see the benefit at the gate ala UNC and Wake. Schools who draw well, are less likely to do a true home and home (Clemson, UGA and UT).

That's my .02.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

I would assume regional P5 that isn't VT or Clemson. I would look at 2025 openings via FBSschedules.

Re: The Quarterbacks

One thing to remember is that Scott's first year back (2012) Jamal threw the ball a ton. He has always played to the strengths of his QB as opposed to a defined system. Which is what makes him such a great offensive mind.

Re: MBB @ UTA

Apps just cannot finish. 5 points in the last 7 minutes of game time to this point. Can't do that and expect to win.

Positive: we shot free throws well.

Re: MBB: stAte @ App State HCC 3:30 PM

I am not going to blame attendance until we put a consistent product on the court. We have not been over .500 very often and the product currently is pathetic.

I was there yesterday and it looked like year 1 of a rebuild not year 4.

Re: Fox

If we finish above .500 he likely gets an extension. Less than that and he's gone. If Fox doesn't get above .500 the athletic department will pay him $250,000 to sit at home next year? ARJ I believe he is talking about next year. That's what I was referring to above. Next year is a given barring sc...

Re: Fox

The only thing he can do the rest of the year is make getting extended next year that much harder.

Yosef84, that may be the best move this off-season. Shake up his assistants. Since we can't fire him force his hand there.
