Re: Baseball v. GA State

This early in the season one bad weekend (and a bad L to Furman a week ago) will do that to an RPI. Entering the gast series, we were hoovering around 150, which is respectable. Gast was in the 200’s. They are now 174 and we are 215, according to Warren Nolan. I am waiting for Boyd’s World to update...

Re: North Carolina lawmakers seek to allow alcohol sales at college sporting events

If this passes, Ivory Tower should be the only beer & wine available. All proceeds are put back into the university to support the fermentation sciences department. Lafayette sells their own brand at their games. Don’t know how the proceeds work there but putting it back into the program is a good ...

Re: Fox fired

For those of you that wanted him I know that Bobby Lutz is interested This would be a mistake. In what way? Too credible? Too experienced? UNCC has never recovered I lived in Charlotte while he was at uncc during the latter half of his tenure. When sports would come on the news he struck me as a co...

Wrecking ball being taken to owens? This would fit the “big fizzle” mold by being expexted to occur by all any day now. (Today perhaps?).

Re: Stadium Area Pics

I wish we replaced the track with a “sidewalk” with hedeges or Rhodo’s separating the fans from sidelines. This would allow for students/fans to enter and exit field-level throughout the game without everyone having to exit underneath the stands. By adding this new egress it also allows for future s...

Not according to that link you posted. The way I read it the average points per game includes all 26 games played be they against Division I or Division II opponents.
Your right, just the SOS and SRS exclude non-D1. So 2 non-D1 games skewing it.

Re: Georgia State 2/21 Gamethread

Wanna know why that average points per game total is so high? Try 125 points against Mars Hill, 100 points against Howard, 99 points against mighty Milligan, and 91 points against Winston-Salem St. Foes like those will raise your scoring average everytime. Okay, okay, I'll give them credit for the ...

Re: Georgia State 2/21 Gamethread

Check this out for some perspective: Based on these stats, the SOS rating is determined as strength related to the average D1 strength of schedule (non-D1 games excluded from stats). According to this, our current season is the toughest schedule AppState Basketball has ever played only the ‘81-‘82 s...

Re: Georgia State 2/21 Gamethread

Something has got to be going right with coaching for us to have a chance to win nearly all games this season. I can think of only maybe 3 or 4 games where we were just flat out played and were out of the game the last 5 minutes of play. I genuinely feel we have a legitimate chance to win every time...

Re: Georgia State 2/21 Gamethread

We're now back in last place. This team plays better than a last place team for 35-37 minutes a game and then collapses . It would be understandable if this were a young squad but it's not. This is a veteran team. I believe in a tournament setting we would be dangerous but at this rate we won't mak...

9 of those K’s on Saturday was a direct result of their 2nd pitcher over the last 4 innings - he is a STUD and had nasty stuff. Was drafted out of high school in 2017 and chose to go to college.

Re: At Tennessee this weekend

We have beaten Tennessee a few times in the past in baseball so it's not like it's impossible for us to defeat an SEC team. We've beaten Auburn and LSU too. Hell, we beat LSU in Baton Rouge by a score of 11-1 a few years back. We've finished dead last in the Sun Belt every year since we joined the ...
