Re: Birmingham Bowl
This one stings a bit not going to lie, mostly because it was against the Stink. The game had a chance to really snowball and get out of hand and our guys managed to keep it from doing so. Proud of the guys that decided to play for their teammates and the Block A on the helmet. The effort was certai...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
The 2008-12 stretch of playoff game losses were brutal. It was either butt whippings by Richmond, Villanova, and Maine or heartbreak against Montana and Illinois State. I can still hear the thwump of the extra point hitting the hand of the Redbirds player and the pall that fell over KBS in our last ...

Re: Watauga Pioneers
Congratulations Pioneers! Awesome to have a state championship returning to Watauga County after 47 years.
My mom, a 74 grad, summed up the game thusly: "pretty cool".

Pioneers are sandpapering that ass in the first half.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I did. Spread will grow when they see how many we aren’t playing. It's not like Southern is suiting up a full team. I'm sure they're dealing with portal losses as well. I tried to take a peek at GSU Fans and rolled my eyes because their board is unavailable to view individual threads without regist...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
You call getting a bowl game this way deserving it? We lost to Arkansas State in the most stupid fashion. Accepting a bowl game that 10 others declined after going 5-7 is not deserving of a bowl game. lol So don't watch. Either we win and finish with a losing record or lose and finish with a losing...

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
From the ESPN article on ND choosing to cry instead of play. As part of a memorandum of understanding signed last year that guarantees that the field will have at least 12 teams in 2026 and beyond, Notre Dame would be guaranteed a spot if it finishes in the top 12 starting next year. In addition, un...

Lanning is going to have Oregon chomping at the bit to keelhaul the Dukes under Autzen.
There's no way two G6 ever get into the playoff again.

Re: New JMU Head Coach Billy Napier
How have we been "safe". Our last 3 coaches had zero HC experience. "Safe" to me is hiring a coach "with coaching experience" Yeah, I wasn't referring to head coaching experience. More so the process. JMU and other programs out here hitting fastballs in their searches and hires while App is playing...

Re: Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!
Hire this guy. except I disagree about the entrance. IMO we've gone from bad ass Sean Connery, AC/DC, Black out uniforms to Mickey Mouse and the mouseketeers. Yup, 007 followed by Back in Black was my favorite entrance. It was shaping into a killer tradition. It's too bad the program can't seem to ...

Re: New JMU Head Coach Billy Napier
I think this is a great hire for JMU. He had Louisiana rolling along, and he's going to a program with more money and support. The Dukes have been ballsy with their coaching hires, while App has been way too safe, IMO. We'll see how it pans out, but I could see him back at another P4 program in a co...

It didn't even feel like a game day driving down Rivers Street this afternoon. Have to wonder how many folks had already checked out.
