Re: NEZ Update Query

Given the weight of all that concrete it has to load bearing/safety related. I'm sure they will be sided with brick and look nice when done. I imagine it will look a lot like the brickwork on a smaller scale that supports the SEZ display board. And that will look nice. I will not be sitting there b...

Re: NEZ Update Query

who cares? They are obviously needed, otherwise, they wouldn't be there. I think it is important to have some information on the change. I am fine with it, in fact I like it, especially with a future connection to each side of the stadium. But I am also curious. YC felt it important enough to have ...

Re: And Another Thing

I think the hiding/censoring/"not authorized to view" is getting a bit heavy handed on the board. There are obvious differences of opinion on this board and some are very strongly held. Some of mine certainly are. I don't read every post on here and maybe I am missing something but I have not seen ...

Re: NEZ Update Query

I could see the columns being needed to support a catwalk and if I was sitting in the seats I would prefer the columns but that is just me. I think you are right in that we may never know the true backstory or we have the actual story and we are just looking for a conspiracy that is not there involv...

Re: NEZ Update Query

Did we ever get the low-down on the supports under the seats of the NEZ project? Are the supports temp support or did something indeed not get done correctly and something will be needed to prevent a major disaster going forward? I received the new issue of the YC newsletter and that was on the cov...

I have nothing to add except... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m9F0YFzWojI These three movies are on Netflix right now and I am not going to admit the number of times I have played them lately. I might be the only person in America who doesn’t have Netflix, and until now I’ve had little desire to si...

Why is there a question mark where there should be a full stop? I am leaving the typo and making that my post as it is more interesting.

Re: 5 greatest Bands 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’s

I was poking around looking for fun off-topic distractions and found this a week late, but thought I'd jump in. A lot of these span multiple decades, but I'll put them were they are most associated or most successful. 50s and early 60s: Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Johnny Cash, Fatz Domino, Jerry L...

Re: ECU among the growing number of institutions faced with eliminating one or more sports

Commentary in today's Greensboro News and Record. Page C1 and from the Raleigh News and Observer so it was most likely in that paper a few days ago. This is from the e-edition so it may be behind a paywall. https://www.greensboro.com/eedition/page-c1/page_98cf6ae7-4ade-58f8-9e6d-b9fad1911670.html Ba...

Re: ECU among the growing number of institutions faced with eliminating one or more sports

Football wise we could compete in the AAC. Not as confident about other sports. Financially I don't think we're close to being ready for that step. I'm all in for a realignment to create regional conferences. It would reduce travel costs and possibly increase revenue for gameday with more away team...

Re: UNC and NCSU announce plans

UV generally is not good for living cells. The higher frequency has more energy and the amount of energy can kill cells by messing with cell DNA and the thymine in particular. RNA does not have thymine and SARS-CoV-2 is RNA driven so I assume the UV is attacking other parts of the RNA is viruses tha...

Re: Schools

WSJ article this morning suggests that Liberty may have provided a template for returning this fall with bringing students back this spring. If we can get past "it's Liberty". They said that too. Mix of live and online classes and only 1 covid case that was traced back to be not school related. I d...

Re: ECU among the growing number of institutions faced with eliminating one or more sports

Eliminate useless majors, and stop forcing students to take useless classes. I didn't even get into the bulk of my finance major classes until I already spent thousands on World Civ, Anthropology, and Chemistry. Inflation/Stagflation as a whole is sweeping the nation at a rapid pace. Everything cos...
