Re: Hold on to your hats ….

From what I've seen, out of the latest chancellor changes in the UNC System, only the the recent change at UNC-A saw the interim promoted to full time chancellor. My thought was this. If she is interim then she is not going to be permanent. Likely be in this position for a year and then might be le...

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY

It seems that any construction at KBS will happen after the 105 project (which is behind schedule and over budget) and the IPF (which seems to have its own funding issues) are completed. And of course all of these should be behind keeping Kearns (which should be our top priority). Rapid inflation h...

Re: Hold on to your hats ….

The next Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives will be an Appalachian State graduate. There have been 120,000+ graduates of App State or so. I don't know the history of all of those people. There are three or 4 graduates I am embarrassed to call fellow alums. Maybe this person will...

and some alumni as well. Not this alum. Would love to get a chancellor that continues or even increases support for athletics and frankly keeps politics out of the academic side as much as possible. Amen! Not sure why this has to be so hard! GO APPS!! Academics is politics, if you have ever tried t...

I hope we get a good one..but IF it’s a too far left or too far right leaning one I hope the student body and faculty en masse walks out. Wouldn’t that be something? Give the big ole finger to the legislature.
If it’s far left, the faculty will celebrate
and some alumni as well.

Re: Hold on to your hats ….

I had no problem with her. Found her engaging and down to earth. Any App Chancellor is hamstrung buy the Piedmont bias..... I was generally pro-Everts at first and even now I am was calling for her to be fired. I am also not all that upset she is leaving due to some missteps of late. I do fear for ...

Re: Hold on to your hats ….

Referring to Everts stepping down? Just got email newsletter where she informed UNC System President she is stepping down! She was forced to do this but they let her save face here. I had heard this would happen in May or June so this is an early gift! Now we need to get a pro athletics chancellor....

One of the proposed long distance Amtak routes to be added goes through Chattanooga, Johnson City, and on to Roanoke. Proposed and timeline could be 30 years out.

We got nothing in Florida, just a bright sunny day.
You are either in the path of totality or you are not. Totality is AMAZING, 92% blockage is crap. Done both (not at the same time.)

Blue Hose pipeline worked for the men.
How can a hose have a pipeline? Would it not be a hoseline instead?

Already? Cool, you can probably still make tip off! Ha Ha. Congrats man.
May she never know a world where Wake Forest is victorious over Appalachian.
Or the Eagles.

Re: MBB at Wake Forest, NIT 1st round, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 8:00 p.m., ESPN+, LJVM, Winston-Salem, 421 Warfare

I don't think I will be at the game on Wednesday. But I think my reason is justifiable. Daughter and son-in-law are likely going to be having a baby tomorrow. Daughter is App '18 and SIL is App '19. Wife and I and App '92 and SIL mom is App grad as well. Mountaineer blood will be running deep with t...

Re: NIT

They were talking on the radio yesterday about how the Semifinals and championship game would be played at MSG but apparently that's not the case. The bracket says Hinkle Field House in Indy. That's a bit of a letdown. So after we beat Wake we are assured to play on the road no matter what? Does an...

Tuesday or Wednesday? Our guys have been gone for a week. Work to do in a short time.
I assume they have been practicing figuring we had something if only the CBI, which would have been a shame but I am sure a tourney we would have played in as well.
