Re: Today's BOT Meeting 6.21.18

The BOT has been in "hot topic" session all day dealing with those messy little issues like student housing/P3; internal audit procedural updates; write-off of uncollectible accounts; faculty handbook updates; on-campus traffic/parking manual; acquisition/usage of real estate; regulation related to...

Re: Grading Football Recruiting from past years

It’s almost impossible to grade in hindsight because how do you account for coaching changes, injuries, poor player development, and even good old fashioned bad luck? You’ll never convince me that Jimbo Fisher isn’t one of the five or ten best coaches in college football, a great recruiter, and gre...

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2009/08/the-trouble-with-charles-krauthammer is from a few years ago but an interesting read. Interesting guy. He was one of the only ones on that channel who wasn't lying or crazy. Careful guys, no need to nudge this into partisanship. No way not to once the origina...

I believe the ratings system the OP is looking for is called the final standings.
A 2-D graph with W-L versus avg star rating could work. Of course that is assuming the star ratings are worth a darn to begin with. In a graph like this a steep slope would make coaches look better.

Re: Today's BOT Meeting 6.21.18

“We also had three others who were offered power five jobs, which we all know are worth more money and a chance to compete and move up, but they decided to stay and that’s a credit to the university and to everybody in this room.” Satterfield said. That's an interesting little tid-bit. And that is ...

Speed of YC

So YC was down a bit yesterday for maintenance I assume. Now it loads so fast I don't have time to do anything between mouse clicks. Recently I would click on a YC post and then go to another website and read a post. Now there is no time for that.

Re: UNCC - 6:00pm

On NNN their fans suggested the Food Lion parking lot. Not sure of towing there but if you purchase some items they may not care, or even encourage it.

I am seriously looking into a free park and ride and taking the light rail onto campus, but I don't tailgate so I just need a place to park.

Re: 5 year graduation rates for class of entering fall 2012

It is great that we are #5 of 16 but we have a long way to go to be #1. UNC-CH @ 88% NC State @ 77% App @ 69% I am not sure where we were 5, 10, 20 yrs ago but I suspect we have made significant progress over that time. I know this has been a priority for App for many years. Anybody know what the p...

Amtrak to UNCC Game. Anyone planning this.

NCDOT/Amtrak is now running the Carolinian and 3 Piedmont trains daily between Charlotte and Raleigh. Taking Amtrak to Charlotte could work though it would work a bit better with an earlier start time to the game. You will need a hotel to get back on the Carolinian or Piedmont given the times when t...

Re: 2018 App State HOF Class

Corey always seemed like a good guy, and he has every right to hold a grudge but it has been so many years and even Coach Moore has been back. At some point it is time to let this go, if only for his on mental health. I did note the article was from 2014. I hope Corey's thoughts on this have changed...

Aggie Stadium

BB&T is paying $1.5 million for naming rights to NC A&T's Aggie Stadium for 15 years. $100,000 per year seems a bit cheap, as much as that place is used for more than football.

Re: Sunbelt Schedule

I agree on the uniforms.

Is nunmber 30 (Lainey Gosnell) holding the two balls up by her own hands or are the balls shoved against walls, or being supported in some other manner? The very edge of the balls are cut off in the picture.
