Re: 2025 Men's Golf Mega thread

I don’t know why we field golf teams when there are other , seemingly better options. One theory. Their alumni give more per capita than most sports. I wonder what their total giving is though? Also, most athlete's are notorious for not donating back so the golfers may not have much competition for...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

I don’t see us celebrating a top six finish in any other sport. Ok maybe other than golf …. Queens record is 6-35 :? That's the difference in this years team vs last years. Last years team beats Queens, Western, Charlotte, GWebb, HPU...etc. And probably takes 1 or 2 from GaSo and USM. Last years li...

We do have , finally , a tennis facility and saw the benefits of that immediately. We could field a competitive men’s team I believe.
We might have dropped the wrong low cost sport a few years ago!

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

We finished 6th the past two seasons and are currently tied for 5th even after the sweep. This years team was set to be our best ever until the injury bug decided to make Smith Stadium it's home this spring. I don't know if we would have been on par with CCU, Troy or USM, but I think we could have b...

Men finished at 14. Not under , 14th out of 14 teams. Caps off to the women who avoided the cellar by 1 position.
I hope we don't spend much on gold given the results. Not sure if there'd be much ROI even if we won a ton.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

Yep, as soon as they start sharing revenue they would in their become employees. This means they can't be discriminated against due to age or anything of the sort. The only thing they could do would require them to be registered for classes. So yes, you could ha e any age at thay point. I doubt tha...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

Time to step on their throat and finish them off. A sweep would be huge with USM and CCU on deck the next two weeks.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

Bradley Wilson shines once again and saves our bullpen. This has to be one of the most impressive individual year-over-year improvements I've ever seen. Hopefully Cross can stay hot and lead us to a series win tomorrow.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

Would have been nice to see the interlocking AS logo hat people were saying last Saturday would be worn tonight. They were being sold at the game but yeah it would have been much better if the team wore them. Similar to our throwback football merch that is sold to fans but never worn by the team. N...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

People complaining about Arnholt. I understand it. He’s a decent backup and I hope Willis starts above him. However, if he’s better than everyone we are cutting loose, what does that tell you? He absolutely is not better. I'm hoping it was an issue with his position coach not communicating and teac...

Roster upgrade is a priority. That’s an indirect quote.
I just hope he's right about who he runs off and who he brings in
Tough but necessary. It was pretty clear a lot of the guys weren't FBS quality.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

Some of us older fans will really like the hat the team wears on Thursday vs JMU. https://x.com/AppBaseball/status/1911794005160976888?t=axd9NZXVGzOtEZ8S3M0AHg&s=19 Awesome throwback. When is the last time we wore these? I recall seeing them black hat and white lettering in mid to late 2000's but m...

Or taking redshirt if have option...
Lewis should be back in the bullpen but I'm not sure about anyone else. Maybe Zang?

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

One has to wonder where we’d be with a healthy Steensma on Friday, Cross on Saturday, and a healthy Welch on Sunday… Or a healthy Marks on Sunday with Welch back in his middle relief role. Having that starting trio with Wilson and Welch as your next guys up, and then a combo of Best, Fisher, and Le...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

Pitching is improving and the lineup is becoming consistent…at the right time. All 3 freshman are really getting it done at the plate. Hope we can hang on to them because they can all play. Who’s the 3rd? Moquin? All 3 Florida boys. Yep, we need some coin. And long term, some facilities. I believe ...

Saw a USM post saying many of their guys had the flu last week. I'm not sure if that's true or someone is trying to make themselves feel better.
