Re: 3 new bowl games? Myrte Beach may be one.

While I think a bowl located in Greenville and/or Myrtle Beach is a good thing for App, more bowls only equal more money for ESPN. Almost all lower-tier bowls are losing propositions for the participating schools.

Re: Radical Sun Belt Hoops schedule proposal

When NASCAR adopted its head-scratching formula for determining a race winner and a champion, it lost fans by the millions. Certainly there are other factors influencing NASCAR's decline, but the Sun Belt best heed the folly of others.

Keep it simple, Sun Belt.

Re: @ A&T

I'm not sure I understand your point. We recruit against each of these schools in one way or another. Usually we fare well against the Gardner-Webbs and N.C. Central's of the state, not so much against the Duke's and UNC's. But you can bet we knock heads with all of these schools.

While one or two of you are continually throwing our coach under the bus, here's something to consider: Below is a list of the states in the southeast that have Division I baseball programs, ranked highest to lowest by the number of Division I programs in that state. These are the programs we compet...

Re: 18-19 Hopes/Expectations

His record is hurting recruiting more that his contract. Both W/L and Players who have left the team that he recruited. Sorry but this is not a correct statement. Not saying that record, attendance, atmosphere, etc, haven't lost us recruits in past classes and I've said so many times. These kids ha...

We have many Coach Fox threads already on the bo...

No, there are lots of App State baseball fans on here who have the good sense to know that our program is in a building mode.

Re: App vs Davidson

Just one man's opinion here, but several of our players -- Griffin Kinney, Craig Hinton, Isaac Johnson and Tyrell Johnson -- have shown significant improvement since the start of their college careers, or, in the case of O'Showen WIlliams, since the start of the season.

Just for fun, here's Wes Miller's record during his first four seasons at UNCG: Season W-L 2011-12 11-11 2012-13 9-22 2013-14 14-18 2014-15 11-22 ... And his record in his last three seasons: 2015-16 15-19 2016-17 25-10 2017-18 27-8 Totals 112-110 I'm guessing the folks at the G are glad they didn't...

Re: Fan Involvment at Basketball Games

I'm not sure where the negativity toward the Yosef section is coming from, but I think it's a fantastic concept. Each year attendance there has grown. This year, particularly, the section is one of the few places in the building with shoulder-to-shoulder viewing. Pretentious? Really? People complain...

Re: 2018 Baseball

Our RPI is currently 94th out of 294 Division I teams. Our schedule thus far plays a big part of that, but it’s amazing how quickly things have improved. Two years ago we were in the 200s.

If you see Doug Gillin or Brian Tracy or Brittney Whiteside or any of the staff at the games this week(end), give ‘em a pat on the back. You might not know why you’re doing it, but they will. And you’ll be glad you did.

So this is making way for a "big" team right?
Correct. This is clearing the way so that we don't have two high-drawing teams coming to Kidd Brewer in the same season.

Another rumor a while back was App vs SC in BOA. Any thing to that?
