Re: Ah - Drink finds he is not in Kansas (or Boone) anymore

I’ll be pulling for Mizzou this year. The guy can coach. Just hope he has the horses to compete with that kind of schedule.

Re: I don't get it...

The NFL has dozens of quarterbacks with less talent than Zac Thomas. Just sayin’.

Just wondering out loud, but what do the Power 5s gain from forcing the Group of 5s into a lower tier?

Re: 2020 Cover For Street & Smith’s Magazine

From the looks of it, Street & Smith is publishing 16 covers this year. Four come with a photo of Zac Thomas in the upper-right corner. You can find him in the magazine’s Kentucky/Tennessee, Georgia, Michigan and/or Alabama distribution regions.

Re: Bowl Games

So, had this been in place this past season, would a path to the Belk Bowl have been a greater possibility? No. App had a remote shot at the Belk Bowl only while there was a chance that either the ACC or the SEC might not have enough qualifying teams. Once the ACC and SEC both reached their qualify...

I’m guessing a majority (or at least a plurality) of App fans would be thrilled to s...

Re: Bowl Games

If I’m reading this right, this is good news for us and the Myrtle Beach Bowl. Now the Sun Belt champion is more likely to go to a nearby bowl.

(It's also an admission by the New Orleans Bowl that Louisiana isn't the favorite to win the SBC championship.)

Re: App construction covid 19

The Democrat was curiously vague about which construction site has the outbreak. Are we to infer from the photo of Sanford Hall that the outbreak is indeed at the Sanford Hall site?

Re: David Jackson saves humanity!

David Jackson was the finest broadcaster in App State sports history. Not many would disagree. But sometimes I think folks overlook the outstanding work Adam Witten is doing. His calls on Demetrius Taylor’s strip-six and Nickolas Ross’s pick-six were amazingly perfect. We’re fortunate to have had tw...

When Gillin spoke to the media last week, he suggested that the turf replacement/south end zone regrade might need to be delayed. He didn’t say it specifically, but that was the vibe I got.

Re: NEZ work today

Can we hold off on the whine-fest until we see the finished product? I recall a certain someone --well, actually it was me -- who described the initial NEZ rendering as "unimpressive." I regret that now. It's anything but. This is a two-phase project. Once it's all finished, I'm betting we'll have s...

Re: Likely Tournament Path

So you're saying there's a chance?!? Lol I can concur. I've only been to one App State game (Apps vs. UNCGay @ Greensboro Coliseum) & we were actually dominating the Spartans for quite a while. We shot 3-pointer after 3-pointer & gave them a hard time on D. It was the 2nd half that killed us; we ma...
