I'm not sure if they are or aren't. ECU was actually pretty good. Weird things happen and when you have $4M a year to throw at a QB, even a mediocre program can make a splash.

The performance at QB was disappointing during this past season, but personally, I have more confidence in JJ. I understand that his ceiling might not be as high, but with an improved (healthy) OL, I think we do pretty well with JJ. That's more of a general feel than analytical opinion though.

The kicking game has been decent but earlier in the season we were regularly making horrible decisions to return kicks out of the end zone. I just haven't seen what I believe to be consistently above average performance. I don't claim to be an expert so my arm chair observation might be off base.
