Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?

I thought the RB room looked pretty good yesterday. Dubinion and Lewis looked great! Keith got a few snaps and, although there was nothing overwhelming, I liked how he moved the pile on his first run. Alexander looked promising in his carries as well.

Re: GA St discussion

I actually think Gillon has made significant progress since his first start. Hardly fair to evaluate him from that Boise game. he was thrown in unexpectedly and was getting no protection. yesterday, he didn't look lost. He had a couple of nice throws that got dropped. I think he's progressing just f...

Re: NewApp, aka JCline Passes

I joined MMB in 2004 back in the Delphi Days. JCline had been there long before me. I had some interactions with him while he was having some health issues. He was a good man and a true App fan! RIP!

Re: Lindenwood

NDSU moved from DII and was immediately at the top of FCS. It's not so hard to imagine Lindenwood moving up and being competitive, especially with the ease of recruiting transfers now.

I loved seeing Kohl bull his way into the end zone on his running TD. He got the job done

Glad to see Joey playing so well and remaining the classy young man that he was at App. Sure wish he was still in black and gold.

Re: Boise Discussion - 7:30pm

Our program historically has been built blue collar. We have grabbed talent the big programs overlooked, developed them over the years by strength and fundamentals. It depended on longevity of players and coaching staff. At the moment the culture of college football is not conducive to the way our ...

Re: Week 4 games

No doubt that post game comments are loaded with "coach speak" but teams enjoy beating a dominant program that is "down". We all know the status of App, but feel free to continue beating the drum if you think it helps. I agree with that part about beating a dominant program when they are down. The ...

Any updates on Swann or Kohl? I haven't seen anything. Does anyone know if they've been practicing?
You have better chance of gaining access to the nations nuclear codes than you will getting injury status from the mountain.
Haha. That's what I figured but had to ask anyway.

Re: Week 4 games

La Tech 30 S Miss 10 at half. We were their super bowl .. now the let down after effects 😂😂😂 We’re not anyone’s Super Bowl anymore. Disagree. The Huff even said that game had been circled. It was a targeted game so if you don't want to call it their "super bowl" it's just bickering over semantics. ...

Re: 1983 Yosef Club License Plate

1983. My first year at App. We were not a school with a long-standing tradition of gridiron success. We were known as a party school attended by Happy Appies. We resented that moniker, but it was true. It was Mack's only year at the helm, and there was an awesome football poster that read "I can't ...

State Universities are doing the same thing. Georgia Southern has absorbed two smaller colleges (Armstrong and East Georgia State). I sometimes wonder if there might be some merging of UNC system schools. WCU and UNC-A are less than an hour apart. Who knows

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)

Joey played a great game (despite the 2 interceptions) and TN wouldn't have been in a position to win without him. Georgia underestimated him and the TN passing game and paid for it in the first quarter. I think Joey will do fine for the rest of the season, but he will definitely have to stay sharp ...

Re: So Miss discussion

There are some pretty bad hot takes on the thread. That's why I don't post during games. It was a hard game to watch to be sure and no, I can't imagine anyone thinks this is "OK" so I wish folks would stop with the straw arguments. That said, I'm not ready to give up just yet. Execution was the issu...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

I'm not happy to see Wilson leaving the QB position but I certainly understand it. I'd much rather see him make this switch than to enter the portal so it's actually pretty refreshing. I'm guessing that, with his athleticism and understanding of offenses, he can be a significant contributor as a DB
