We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: 2024/25 post mortem
Football was a C season. We are accustomed to A seasons, so for an A program, a C feels like an F, but 5 wins would put us as an average program. Everybody wants to get back to an A, including me. I feel like both factors listed by the OP are in play though. The conference is stronger AND we under-p...

Re: Question: App State sports as or vs ranked teams
My memory grows cloudy but I seem to remember we reached number three nationally at one time in the Usyian years. Pretty sure you are right. 1980. We were in Sports Illustrated (the curse). Only loss in regular season was to Alabama A&M and then lost to Duke (whom we had defeated in the regular sea...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Well, just my opinion but although I completely agree that NIL needs to be reformed and have some governance applied, a presidential executive order is absolutely NOT the way to do it. Feel free to disagree.

seems to me that if 3 or 4 teams claim you're in their market, you're not really in a specific market.

Re: Pepsi is the drink of App State
I buy Coke, but honestly, it's more out of habit than anything else. I'm fine with either one and if Pepsi gives App the best deal, that's great! Thank you Pepsi! Don't know why people begrudge any company who gives us the best deal.

As an example, JMU is a good educational institution amongst our peers. However, they have a program called “The School of Professional and Continuing Education”. What is that? You tell me because their website is a bunch of jargon. It looks like filler classes to me. https://www.jmu.edu/pce/index....

I'm referring to their basketball program when it was booted from CUSA (for not having football).BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 12:13 pmCharlotte is not a great example. Charlotte had no rivalries before. They are in their infancy as a program in grand scheme of things.

Ask Charlotte what happens when you wind up in a conference where you have no rivals.

Re: ACC
OK, I understand the idea that folks want the best for App. That said, we are CURRENTLY in a conference of peer institutions. The "regional conference" that people describe is literally the Sun Belt East with a little tweaking. Seems to me that, if the issue is leadership / media contracts, those is...

Re: Transfer Portal Watch
I still think that ignoring HS athletes is short-sighted and a mistake that will have consequences in future seasons. I know things have changed with the portal, but a program cannot be sustained long term without HS recruits.

Re: GA St Discussion-Game Thread
The offense played better yesterday, especially in terms of turnovers (compared to Louisiana). The D struggled to stop the run which was really frustrating. If we can put the two together, we can definitely compete. Nobody left is unbeatable, but none will be easy. Truly happy that we got the W yest...

Re: GA St Discussion-Game Thread
I'm now convinced that Clark could lose the rest of the games this year and all of next year and somehow he would get an extension.... Some here would like that. Don't be ridiculous. Far from it I think the percentage who would choose losing in any situation is pretty close to 0%. Reducing any disc...

Re: Future scheduling announcements soon
In all fairness, we had an in-state P5 scheduled and they pushed the game out, so this is the replacement. Finding ANY decent team on short notice to replace that game is a HUGE win! The collapse of the PAC12 helped us out. Great job, DG!

Re: GA St Discussion-Game Thread
I don’t think we have ever lost to GState in football. I don’t think we ever should but I know it will happen someday. If it’s this weekend , there will likely be far reaching implications on our program. I'm now convinced that Clark could lose the rest of the games this year and all of next year a...

Re: East Carolina fires Mike Houston
That is one thing I don't understand. How are we making a lot of money but always so low on it? Should we really be spending 50M on a facility when that money could be used for staff and player retention or to hire the next staff? I think some financial questions are fair to ask. I think it's perfe...

Re: Ranked #18!!!!
I can't imagine any App fan can see that and not be bummed out, but App has not fallen. Stumbled perhaps, but we will be back. We have a game to play in Boone next week. Seems that is what we should be focused on because that's where the return begins. It's the only thing actually on our plate right...

Re: Home Season Moving Forward
not trying to be "that guy" but we won't be 5-7. We will only play 11 games if we only win 5, so 5-6 is possible. That's possible, but I honestly saw significant improvement in the D this Saturday. Without 5 turnovers, we win going away against a pretty good (not great) Louisiana team. I don't know ...

Re: Home Season Moving Forward
So if 20k students can come back to Boone in a few days, does this mean we theoretically could host a game in 2.5 weeks? Not saying we will, or it’s the right or wrong decision, but seems like they could if they wanted to. Could be cool to to see us limit capacity to the students, staff, faculty, l...
