A bit of humor from the Jags message board: who is the genius who scheduled App. State for our homecoming?
Well, apparently someone wanted to see ONE good team in their homecoming game.

Re: Ted 'The Truth' Roof Appreciation Thread

Thank you Mr. Roof for bringing your outstanding defensive mind to Boone and making me already forget the name of our last defensive coordinator. I'm sorry you had to endure the stress of a small section of our clown community calling for your head after two games. I don’t think App nation is a clo...

Re: SB Championship game

Was watching the UL vs Arky st game. Saw a commercial for the SB championship game. Thought it said at 11 am. I assume that is coverage and game starting at noon?? Did anyone else see that? They would have been talking Central time. Both UL and Arkansas State are in Central Time Zone, as is the SBC...

Re: Halloween is coming - about the GS rivalry

11-4 and the games are rarely run-aways. Trajectories might be different at the moment but GS will be back. The primary thing we have in common is that both programs have a winning culture. Neither will tolerate losing for long...or mediocrity for that matter. App has benefited from more stability i...

When did Harrington get hurt? Don't recall seeing anything in the game.
Haven't seen / heard any details yet. Just the general post showing his tweet that he is out. I'm sure it will come out but I've been wondering the same thing...maybe it was a practice injury.

Re: Better than we’ve ever done it before

If we don’t beat USC, I believe that us beating UNC will be considered a case of us catching them early/enter your excuse. It would lose it’s significance outside of the program, in my opinion. That's a completely lame excuse. We could just as easily say the same thing. Our D is getting better as t...

Re: Better than we’ve ever done it before

a fluke filled game against UGA that took a missed FG in Double OT to win. I watched the entire game. Not sure what you mean by "fluke" filled. USC looked like the better team all day. I thought it would be over after their freshman QB got knocked out of the game but the USC D came to play. USC mis...

Re: How do we keep Drinkwitz!?!?

Drink sees these guys in practice and oversees recruiting as well. There's no doubt that this year's junior class is loaded and will leave some gaps (RB, WR, QB) but we already know that we have an exciting prospect waiting at QB. We have at least one superstar in waiting at WR (Anderson) and I'm pr...

Re: D. Harrington out for the year?!?

Marcus Williams is a solid #2. I always considered him and Harrington to be equal and I actually thought they were "co-backups" on the depth chart. Still, it does hurt to lose that depth. Zac was just talking about Anderson's route running being great for a freshman and nothing was said on Mountaine...

Re: How do we keep Drinkwitz!?!?

This is 100% my opinion, so take it for exactly what it's worth (not much). I don't think Coach Drink will take the quick cash grab for an AAC / MWC program unless that program offered a platform at least comparable to the one he has here. He already has evidence that the leap CAN be made to a major...

Re: Observations 5 games in (long)

I’m not disparaging the past regime but i will say a stark difference between Drink being too conservative and Satt being too conservative is Drink owned up to it after the game. Satt wouldn’t have been as frank. And he’s got too cute once, maybe twice so that’s nothing to point out as a negative -...

Re: How do we keep Drinkwitz!?!?

This is a pretty useless mid-season discussion. Anyone who knows anything about college football knows that, IF a major program comes courting, there's not really anything we can do to oppose them. We simply don't have the budget. Nobody who takes this job is taking it for life...NOBODY! These young...

Re: Louisville and Conley

Looks like Conley was certainly a loss, but if memory serves, we picked up a pretty darn solid QB recruit who is wearing a redshirt this year. I think we're fine. We couldn't have kept both of them so it looks like things worked out for both QBs and both programs (hopefully).

Re: South Carolina Beats Georgia

Georgia's #3 rank was legit in terms of talent but they really haven't played like it lately. They were slow starting against Tennessee and looked horrible against SC. For some inconceivable reason, the Georgia OC decided to throw the ball 40+ times even though Fromm was clearly not having a good da...

Wake has a good team this year. Louisville scoring 62 on them is HUGE! This is a great win for Louisville and Satterfield!

Re: Offensive Game Plan

Reality is, it was extremely risky to do what he did on that final drive. You drain the clock and not get one f those fourth down conversions, now ULL has a chance to go up by 4 and possibly leave us with little time. I figure he knew they would struggle to throw the back on us if they were in obvi...

Re: Offensive Game Plan

Sorry guys I just don’t buy the thought that we’re holding back our offense. This game was in jeopardy until that last TD was scored. One turnover, or one big offensive play could have put us down by 4 points. If they sold out to stop the run, and it looks like they did, I really can’t explain why ...

Re: Next up: the Duck Dynasty school.

Anything can happen but ULM still has a pretty tough road ahead after our game. Arkansas State isn't good this year but they can score points so that game could be a shoot out for sure. GSU, GS, UL are also still on the schedule. All of those are potential L's for ULM. It should be interesting though.
