Re: 321 and 105 Closures until at least Sunday
The recommended detour in that article is hilarious: “From Linville: Take U.S. 221 South to Pineola Take N.C. 181 South to Morganton Take U.S. 64 East/N.C. 18 North to Lenoir Take N.C. 18 South to N.C. 16 North Take N.C. 16 North to U.S. 421 North in Wilkesboro Take U.S. 421 North to U.S. 321 in Boo...

How to park in a parking deck:
1) drive until you see an empty spot.
2) park in it.

men's basketball tickets for children?
Does anyone know the age at which children are required to have tickets for men's basketball? I think football is 2 years, but I'm not sure if it is the same for basketball. You would think that this information would be on the App State Sports website, but if it is, it is well-hidden.

Re: Warning - don't park at Wal Mart!
Wow, if they can monitor every car in that lot and what the owners are doing more power to them. Yeah, the tow company actually told that they have people watching. Of course he parked way out at the very back of the lot to be courteous to actual shoppers. He probably wouldn't have been towed if he...

I'm not sure. I haven't ever noticed any, but then I haven't really looked. The tow company told my friend that there are, FWIW. There's probably one hidden in a tree or something...

Walmart knows who does own it. I think it can be found out and exposed. The tow company knows who. Please tell us when you find out I checked Watauga County GIS. It is owned by Agree Boone NC WM LLC. I found an article in the Watauga Democrat about it. " 15.5 acres of land that includes the 147,900...

Warning - don't park at Wal Mart!
Warning - don't park at Wal Mart during football games! My friend has been doing that for years without any problems. Last week he got back to the parking lot after the game and found that his car had been towed. Apparently his wasn't the only one. For the record, the person he talked with in Wal Ma...

I would not care how funny it was. I shall always pass on veggie burger. Maybe sushi would be anti-cowboy. I don’t blame you. Veggie burgers are ok, but they don’t really put me in the mood for football. Sushi sounds good, but it might not be ideal with lots of beer. I agree. Veggie burner is ok. I...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
What is everyone pre-gaming with? We are going with veggie burgers, since it is the most anti-Cowboy option. For the record, we haven't ever pre-gamed with veggie burgers, and normally I would reject that idea, but when my wife suggested it I thought it was too funny not to do it.

Assume they can’t go out a day or two earlier to adjust for elevation. That may suck. Hopefully they have some tricks for that. The key to adjusting to altitude is where you sleep. If we can find a place up on Beech and Sugar for the whole team to stay Wednesday and Thursday nights that would be a ...

ECU / Marshall was a weird game. Has anyone watched it? Marshall up 10-0 at the end of the first quarter. ECU up 13-10 at the start of the fourth. Final 31-13 Marshall. Marshall’s star RB had a Weird game too. 18-85 with 3 tds. Sounds great. Weird breakdown though: 16 carries, 15 yards, 1 touchdown....

Pass interference Should have been a flag It wasn’t interference. However, it wasn’t interference when they called it on App on a very similar play earlier in the game either. It was pass interference - our receiver was pushed while the ball was in the air. But the officiating was good overall.

Has anyone tried buying single game home tickets from a phone? It doesn’t seem to work from mine, and I won’t have access to my computer until Sunday.

Re: Show up on Wednesday
I have to work near Chicago next week. I booked a direct flight from Charlotte, which is a 2 1/2 drive, so that I can make it to Boone Wednesday evening. I’ll be there as long as American Airlines and traffic cooperate. That’s what I’m talking about…what you want to drink?….I’ll have it waiting on ...
