Re: Time to give Shawn Clark contract extension

I respectfully disagree. He had a crazy season with COVID and this season with Brice, a one season SEC level talent we usually won't have. To be clear, I'm not suggesting we won as many games as we did because of just Brice, quite the contrary. What I am saying, is that he won 20 games with two quar...

Re: Perfect timing for site obliteration

Sincere apologies for the site issues and yes, it happened at probably the worst time possible. We are a free site and do not have the resources other sites have to fix these issues that can pop up from time to time. We have some folks who help run the boards (huge shout out to appst89 and biggie fo...

Re: Suspicious private message re COVID on YC

I have set it so that newly registered users cannot send private messages, so hopefully this nips that in the bud.

Re: Way too early top 25

I wish I could be as optimistic as most of you seem to be. I think we will either be on the cusp at 23 to 25 or not even in at all. These things reset seemingly every year to keep the P5 teams up there.

Re: Next Years Roster

I’d be more concerned about ZT transferring to Louisville as a grad transfer than Mizzou.

Re: Thank you Drink

I couldn't agree more. The risk is quite a bit higher, but even if he only lasts 3 years there, he and his family are set for life. He could have had a huge down hill after this year or next and his whole future has a potentially different outcome. Congrats to Drink and while I do feel a bit used, h...

Re: Who stays, who goes?

I am a little surprised that you guys think 3-6 current assistants would stay. That is about half the staff. Unless someone already at App gets the HC job I would have guessed they would bring in their own people. Of course there is the argument that you don't mess with what is already working, but...

Re: Who stays, who goes?

I could easily see Shawn Clark keeping OC and playing a dual hat like other coaches have been doing. It's been successful here and frees up budget for other hires.

Re: Drink Interviews Update

Well, I got some ill will toward him. I am flat pissed! Just can't help it. That man came in here and flat lied to our university, our players and our fans. When hired he stated, this was not a "stepping stone job." for him. Well when you leave after one year it was just that. He said yesterday aft...

New Orleans bowl 12/21 Cotton Bowl 12/28 Belk Bowl 12/31 Stay tuned We are going to the New Orleans Bowl. That is a fact. Stop torturing yourself, man. lol There’s a very high percentage chance that we go to the New Orleans bowl. Just because there’s a contractual obligation with the Sun Belt doesn...

Re: USC Twitter Bad Mouthing Our Fanbase

I see a video of a bunch of kids who work extremely hard celebrating a big win with their fans. It's not like they are running around tearing up stadium signs with SC logos or pulling the damn hedge out of the ground. Just gave it a little trim courtesy of App State football. After SC beat UGA I sa...

Re: USC Twitter Bad Mouthing Our Fanbase

It happens a couple of times and this video is limited, but you can clearly see our players grabbing the hedges, ripping them up, and throwing them in the air a the 33 second mark. It's not the worst thing I've ever seen a football team do, it's fairly mild. I just don't care for that type of behav...

Re: USC Twitter Bad Mouthing Our Fanbase

I did not attend the game, but I did see where an individual made a comment that App fans were chanting "ASU" during USC's alma mater. I witnessed the same thing happen at Clemson a few years ago. Bottom line - the ASU chant is cringe-worthy, and to do it during a unique pre-game tradition makes ou...

Re: USC Twitter Bad Mouthing Our Fanbase

I did read that our band played through the tribute they do at the beginning of each game for the Hilinksi kids brother who committed suicide. I saw a band member reply and refute some things, but that wasn’t one. Really hope that wasn’t the case, if so it’s a pretty bad look by the band. Marching ...

Re: USC Twitter Bad Mouthing Our Fanbase

Most app fans seemed great to me but I will say in my section (unsure of number but 2 rows up on the 50 behind the visitor) had one guy who was straight up kooky dook nuts. He was about as classless as it can get. All fan bases have those idiots, but by and large, I thought our fans were great! Mayb...
