Re: Did Ya Know?

I never mentioned Cline, I was referring to ASU71. You just assumed I was talking about Cline which I was not familiar with until Beau posted. Well then, podner, you are the only one on here who wasn't familiar with it. Haven't used ASU71 in maybe 20 years unless it was an isolated incident. You're ...

Since you are using his former name, does that make it ok to use your former name?
He will always be Cline to me
Yep. I will always be Cline to my family and on some message boards.

Now scram. You fail.

Re: Did Ya Know?

Since you are using his former name, does that make it ok to use your former name? I used his former name because I followed his days at Power Central and was hoping he would come to NC to play at Duke, Carolina, or Wake. And Cline has always been my name. It was my Dad's name. May he RIP. Just use...

Did Ya Know?

Lew Alcindor’s mother was from NC? He’ll always be Lew Alcindor to me because that was his name when we fans watched along as he was being recruited. Quite a back story. Love his ads on TV. They have helped save a lot of lives

Bill Walton Passes

May he rest in peace. One of the greatest ever. https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/27/us/bill-walton-death/index.html Walton’s basketball journey began at UCLA, where the 6-foot-11, red-headed center starred under legendary coach John Wooden and led the Bruins to national championships in 1972 and 1973, bo...

Re: Portal vs Grad rate for athletes

Is the portal (and NIL) the main reason our athlete grad rate is relatively low? I know our athletes are at least as intelligent as our rivals. 80 out of 1600 athletes. Or 80 out of approx. 4000 total grads. Is the graduation rate low, or is it just a small number of graduates? That is a very signi...

Re: NC State series in danger?

If this comes to fruition, we should sue NC State. We have a signed contract and then they go and contract with another school to play on the same date, it is a classic breach and we should enforce our rights. I am really tired of watching all these chicken #$%$ schools finding ways to back out of ...

That's extremely sad to hear. I hope he gets to play again. Doesn't really seem like his character.
At least it was less than a year off. Here's hoping he stayed in good physical condition during this interim.

Re: Is it time to rethink the sports we offer ?

Just noticed in an email from the interim chancellor's office that we only had 80 student athlete graduates this term. Is that a small number for 16 sports and overall 4100 graduates? As to Wrestling, I think WataugaMan would likely disagree with minimizing the impact of our wrestling program in the...

Re: Is it time to rethink the sports we offer ?

IF funds were to be reinvested in other programs baseball might be one to look at closely. We play in a marquee conference and there is a ton of interest in college baseball. Not sure how additional funds would really make a difference but in my opinion we aren't very far off from becoming a progra...

Re: September 7, 2024

Cade Klubnik is not that dude. He may develop into that dude with another off season but he struggled mightily at times in 2023. I feel as good going into this game as I did about A&M, Penn State and Miami. There’s a very real unease in Clemson’s fan base and a big loss to Georgia to open the seaso...
