As I recall, I think the old Holiday Inn (where Lowes is now) was full service. All I really remember about it is a place called “The Alpine Room”.🥃😎

Yes. They had good steaks and a good Sunday lunch.

Re: Tony Searcy

For those of us who were around during the Cremins era you know his name and who he is. Unfortunately Tony had a stroke 1/27/18 and is currently recovering at Duke Medical Center. He is in good spirits and very coherent. He will be having rehab at Wake Forest Medical Center. Please keep T-Bone, wif...

Tangible QB skills we have a minimum of three guys better than TL on the roster, intangibles I’d be surprised if any pass him in 2018. I’d love to be wrong!

Intangibles...I doubt anyone will ever surpass him.

Hotel prices in Happy Valley are insane. My group is flying into Baltimore. Taking in the Phillies/Cubs game on Friday and then staying in Harrisburg.

Re: App MBB vs Coastal

I will start by saying I don't follow APP BB. BUT! I do follow the thread on here. It has gone on and on about how terrible we are and we need to get rid of Fox and the sky is falling and then I read we are a game out of 3rd place. We are on the verge of third place and Capel is gone. How bad can t...

Many games we refuse to be ripped off and pay $4 for water. Reduce the price and come out ahead. Don’t get me started on hot chocolate.
My only problem with the hot chocolate is that it should be called warm chocolate.

Doesn’t take much to receive acceptance letter from State.

From working on a scholarship committee for my civic club, we have had several who were turned down by NC State yet got accepted by us. Thankfully they attended App.

Another rumor a while back was App vs SC in BOA. Any thing to that?
Nope
That's bad news. Thought maybe that was what firemoose was holding out on us, :(

Re: Clemson 2024

I'll take any G5 home and home over a second money game in the same year or FCS game at home in 2020 (paired with UMass, yikes). I'm not a fan of playing two P5 games on the road in one year. In 2019 we don’t have a money game. The UNC series is a H&H and the last game is the money game. I don’t kn...

The Patriots didn't get every conceivable break, and look what happened. The luck ran out. BS. You don't win 5 Super Bowls on luck.  I was talking about this post season. As far as past Super Bowls go, last year was a gift and so was the win over Seattle. They were also incredibly unlu...

Very little healthy in jerky except a little protein. It's loaded with sodium. Of course if an athlete sweats a lot, it could be beneficial. Otherwise, nada.

I want to give Fox his full five, although I am quite frustrated at this point in time. I'm wondering if the proposed free transfer rule change might force our hand to make a coaching change this year. We don't want to run the risk of having our next coach come in having to stock a totally empty cu...

Re: Scheduling anything with NC State looks unlikely. NC State blows.....

NC State is perennially overrated. They don't have the name recognition of UNC, and they don't have rivalry history like ECU or Wake does. A game with them does nothing for me. S. Lewis, what you posted has a lot of truth to it, but the sad thing is we've never beaten them in football, from 1932-20...
