A major pro to me was having the band out of the end zone along with no temp bleachers. It also helped keep the students in a more concentrated area.

True. Forgot that one. The band needed a bit more room though. They were jammed in.

Re: Pros and cons of or experience Saturday

Yes - Football alumni and 2008 recognition was pushed back from USM. I talked to several guys who planned on coming up last week, but couldn't make it for the GW game. And yes it definitely was a much smaller crowd than usual. I'll say another positive. When they played Mountain Music and started t...

Re: Concession Stand Lines and Service

I don't post but have been reading for years on our site. We need to contact ASU and get them ramped up on our concessions at FB games. I have been on Yosef Club and season ticket holder for years on the East (State) side. With a very average amount of fans this past weekend the lines for any type ...

6. The recognition of former players as well as Jerry Moore. Where was the 2008 team? I only saw 3 former student-athletes on the field with Jerry Moore when they recognized them...wast this rescheduled from previous week. Still surprised not more former players from that team weren't in attendance...

Re: Non Yosef Club Parking?

First Baptist Church - $20 Old Watauga High School - free, Appalcart shuttle From what some folks were describing Saturday, it sounds like there's also free parking with Appalcart from the old Broyhill site. Free at certain spots around the edge of campus and a little bit out. Get to walk through c...

The best though is that there was a commercial on the scoreboard highlighting the fact that Food Services has taken over concessions this year. Yikes!
Maybe that's why they charged $4.00 for a $.79 ice lemonade. But it was well worth it at the time.

You my friend should have gotten your butt up earlier! Quit complaining You my friend must not have read my other posts. It was either leave when we did and get there just in time or miss the game and listen to it on WKBC. Quit commenting before you read all the thread. You sound like a spoiled chi...

Look at it like this... Your life is so blessed that this is what you have to complain about. Life's good! I missed the damn kick off and Nat Anthem because these drunks didn't care enough about the game to walk instead of staggering and strolling. Didn't help that the will call attendant wrongly s...

Pros and cons of or experience Saturday

Pros: 1. Weather couldn't have been better for us on the East Side 2. The few G-W fans we encounter were classy and positive about the game and atmosphere 3. Talked to one of my former students/players who had graduated from G-W with his fiancee whose some was one of the players for G-W...number 28,...

Nah that’s Cline jr. alright. Can’t hang. You couldn't be more wrong, Bonzo. He can definitely hang. He has probably been a more App games than you in his young life.. He didn't get much sleep Friday night due to no fault of his own. He is in a youth band and watched the band, counting the tubas an...

Re: Attendance at Gardner Webb Game

Adam announced the attendence. Looked like more to me, but I was watching on ESPN+. Flood water from Flo kept me home . Heck. My son had plenty of room to lie down and stretch out at half time. Except for the lost revenue and lack of noise making in the empty seats, I was fine with that. :D I'm gon...

Look at it like this... Your life is so blessed that this is what you have to complain about. Life's good! Excellent life but no thanks to drunken slops. No thanks to drunken lazy slobs disguised as my alma mater's students and alumni. So, because they don't live life the way you do, they are disgu...

Re: Walking an drinking

Is it bad that when I read the title and knew it was a complaint thread I just assumed it was started by Cline? Umm, first of all, smart arse, I haven't used Cline in four or five years. Try to keep up. Second of all, I made more positive posts on this board today than everyone else combined. Readi...

Totally impressed yesterday. We are GOOD! On another note; here's what Gardner-Webb coach said post-game. Gardner-Webb coach Carroll McCray "App's got a great team, and we knew that coming in here. Coach Satterfield's done a great job in his recruitment, retaining players and improving them while t...

Re: Takin Care of Business

Jalin Moore has gotten noticeably faster . My concern for next week is our pass blocking . SA will bring a variety of pressures and have better athletes than we’ve seen the past two games .Handle that and take care of the ball and it’s off to the races. Yes he did, but my neighbor who has only one ...

Re: UPDATE: ICE BUT NO CUPS FOR SATURDAY

After a quick scan of this entire thread, the impression I'm left with is that Chancellor Everts is the source of the no cups/no ice decree. She apparently got off of her diversity soap box long enough to renew her sustainability campaign. Does she not know that souvenir cups are or can be profit-m...
