Re: NEZ work today

Why would we want the visiting team under our stands? They will have to block off the concourse area for them to walk through which stops the flow of fans. The same thing happened while they were at Quinn this season, but on the east side. It's inevitable no matter where you put the team. At the co...

Re: FBS National Championship - LSU cancels class

This is what a real football school does when you have a football game on a weekday night. Cancel class. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.foxnews.com/sports/lsu-cancels-classes-national-championship.amp We could learn from this when it comes to Thursday Night games with stink. If we ever make it to...

Re: Roof out

As with any coach that comes here and leaves, unless you were an App grad or considered part of the App family, once you leave campus, you are dead to me. LOL. I don't hate them but I won't follow or really care what happens there. I know what Louisville did only because I follow D1 football and la...

Not a fan of that hire, but hope I'm wrong.

H3LL, they gotta do something. What they've been doing isn't working.

Re: Roof out

Frankly, I don't give a dam if we run a Wide Tackle 6 or a Split 6 (that's blow some minds, including our own) as long as we are the best at it. Let the coaches coach, the players play, and the fans just cheer. Whatever our coaches decide, I'm in 100%. We all should agree with that instead of playi...

Re: LaLa

It has to be frustrating for a good basketball coach to watch games get ugly with his team jacking horrible three's. I can't imagine that under any situation any offense like that is planned. Maybe I am old school but I kind of hate the three point line. While it can be a game changer if team's get...

Yes. Without a complete demolition of the current stands. DG said he wants app to have the best 30k stadium in the country. I support that idea
Good, but why not the best 40K without sacrificing Miller Hill? Just a thought.

Re: NEZ work today

Club seats are lucrative, but it seems like we could have gotten many, many more seats in the NEZ. We'll need them in the '20's. Supply and demand. The more people the want them the higher the donation threshold to be eligible for tickets. That’s the way I would do it. True, but it would seem we ne...

Have them search for updated contact info and develop a system to make contact and maintain contact with all ASU alumni. There are fund-ra...

Re: Would you be happy with 8-4, if?

I see no reason to anticipate that we would average 8-4 in any G5 conference. We haven't averaged 8-4 since I came to App in 1988. We have a football culture and know how to win games and conference titles and I don't think that would change in any G5 conference. I have said it all year, I just don...

Re: Would you be happy with 8-4, if?

No Then do you, bcoach, think we should stay where we are at least for the short term? I am not crazy about the Sun Belt but that is who would take us. If there were a better conference for us that would be fine with me. My point is that 8-4 would never make me happy regardless of conference. Would...

Re: Would you be happy with 8-4, if?

NewApp the way you worded your question it sounded like you were referring to and attacking someone for predicting 8-4 when it was purely hypothetical. Anyone who flat out predicts the 10+ win seasons continue in a tougher league has more hubris than I'm willing to display. We recovered quickly aft...

When you job is on the line, you likely care more than most. Been there. My payroll check or prospect of none, determined my allegiance for the most part, over previous loyalty. Got to put food on the table and a roof over our heads.

Dallas Cowboys

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/sleepover-at-jerrys-house-cowboys-owner-hosts-mike-mc-carthy-before-hiring-him-160131052.html The big NFL news Monday morning was the Dallas Cowboys hiring Mike McCarthy to be their next head coach. But it’s what happened Saturday night that apparently sealed the deal. C...
