Re: # 14

I think retiring the number at the name is a great idea. However I do think that Marcus should be "grandfathered" in, in terms of wearing 14. He should have the chance to continue wearing the number till he graduates but after that it is retired.

Turned my whole day around

I was sitting in my living room having the worst day ever. Been stuck at home with a broken ankle and was insulted today by my boss. But then I heard a noise, it was the marching band practicing at Kidd Brewer. And I all i could think was...

Re: Vernon Adams/ Armanti Edwards

I'm with you Brown. Would have been hard to stomach, but I understand the player's motives. I always remove 'football' from the example and put in 'marketing job'. I can't imagine seeing AE play against our Mountaineers, but if it helps a kid have a better chance of getting their dream job after gr...

Re: Vernon Adams/ Armanti Edwards

WTH? Why even think this up? You need a hobby. Probably right about the hobby thing. I do enjoy college football tho! I could make that my new hobby! Maybe I should spend some more time reading and watching it on TV and online. In fact I just saw an article today about a FCS Quarterback who is tran...

Vernon Adams/ Armanti Edwards

Let me say I understand that the comparisons here are vastly different and there are a MILLION different reasons why this could have never happened to Armanti but it was just interesting to think about. I was just reading an article about Vernon Adams being excited about maybe getting a chance to be...

Re: SO tired of hearing it

Took some time to read through all of the responses and this was exactly what I was hoping for from this community. There were plenty of points made from both sides that took the time to discuss their argument. It was so refreshing to see discussion like this from App State football fans. All of thi...

SO tired of hearing it

Ok so I know that the majority of you all will just tell me to ignore the people who are not real fans but I am just so tired of hearing it from current students. Since moving back to blowing rock this past summer, everyone is just sounding like a bunch of cry babies when it comes to football this c...

Re: New Alternate Unis

Such is the new college football trend, just glad I got my white gold and black uniforms from 2010, 2011 and 2012. Love the new uniforms and the alternates but I am glad to have some uniforms from my time at Appalachian State.

Re: Another day, another suspension...

Cant say much about what happened, just really glad that I decided not to purchase Gray's always attack jersey from the football office,I had considered it since he had shown a great deal of promise on the field. Hope he can learn from this and not let it happen again in the future.

Replica Jerseys for Cheap

hey guys just wanted to make a quick post and tell you about an awesome deal I found at the book store. They had replica, and I do mean high quality replications, football jerseys for sale. Now these jerseys used to be 200 dollars but are now all the way down to 31 dollars. I know the new jerseys ha...

Re: NEW UNIFORMS!!!

I'm not trying to be mean here, but that's what happens as you get older: the younger generations start making something their own and beginning their own traditions. You can't expect for the throwback Yosef to be used forever, just as we can't expect for the current Yosef head to be there forever....

Re: Presley and Jamal following in a huge shadow.

Let me be clear in that these are the kinds of posts that I wanted to see. I like both of these players and was looking for deeper insight beyond as stated above the "casual" fan. I knew I was not alone in my liking of these two.

Presley and Jamal following in a huge shadow.

OK, I just have a quick question, First let me say that I am a big fan of Jamal Jackson and the good things he has done for App State. But I hear so much negative talk about him and even more negative talk about Presley whenever QB's come up at App State. With Jamal I hear that his passing game is t...

Wow, tons of great responses and this just reminds me of how many great App State players there are throughout our history. Which is why when it comes to jerseys there are plenty to choose from.

An excellent quote first of all and let me say secondly that this is definitely one of the great jerseys that should be considered. Pierre was an amazing mountaineer and anyone who owned one of these should display it proudly.

Re: Any Jersey? any Number?

What numbers are currently available in the bookstore? Not sure as of right now but I know in the past I saw a few different numbers such as 6, 9, 20 and 40. That could be much different now though especially with the sale going on. I will also never forget back into 2010 when they had some Armanti...

Re: Any Jersey? any Number?

So my friend and I were having a debate and I would love the input of fellow Mountaineers. If you could pick the choice of any App state jersey (Home Black, Away White, Gold, Pro Combat Etc.) and any number (2, 7, 14, 28, 47, 97 etc). Which would you choose? Again this is just for the sake of a fri...

All I can say is that I wish all of these Mountaineers the very best of luck. The NFL is one difficult place to play and I hope that all of them have the opportunity to perform well. :D
