Re: Coastal Discussion
Honestly, there is nothing about this year’s team that makes me think they’re any better than last year’s team. Same poor pass defense.

Re: Coastal discussion
Why is Coastal running the ball? They should be throwing long every play. We have no answer on the back end.

Re: Broome Kirk Gym
Broome Kirk brings back tons of memories. Spent too many hours playing pick up basketball there from 72-76. Was in Watauga College in 1972, living in Watauga Hall (also torn down). The dorm had bath tubs, no showers, so I would shower every morning in BK Gym. Great memories…sad these are all gone, a...

Back in the early 70’s, Yosef was a student with a nice beard wearing appropriate clothing for a mountaineer…wish they would go back to that. Have never really like the cartoonish mascot.

Wishing everyone the best of health in the coming year. If you survived eating at the BI, you should be pretty much bulletproof!

How do we know that the toothbrush was invented at Ga Southern?
If it was invented anywhere else it would be called a teethbrush.

That hit on Henne was one of my favorite Appalachian football plays ever....right up there with the field goal back in the 70's that carried ASU to a win over ECU.

Re: GS Troubles with NCAA
Those are de minimus violations compared to what happened for decades in Chapel Hill. Somehow these sanctions came swiftly. Much harsher too. UNC=Hillary Clinton; GS=General Petraeus Other than the fact the Petraeus knew what he was doing, and knew that it was illegal, and that the emails in Hillar...

Oh good lord....yes, racial discrimination does exist, as does bigotry. However, to live your life looking for examples of "priviledge" or lack thereof in every human transaction is such as waste of time and effort. Only makes this student look small minded and self-limited.

Re: Prince dead at 57
Was at ASU from 72-76 so yes, am very old. Wasn't a big Prince fan but watched the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame tribute to George Harrison where a group led by Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Steve Winwood performed While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Prince finished it off with an incredible guitar performance th...

Re: Dunkin Doughnuts
I would encourage all of you to give your business to Local Lion. It's owned and operated by two fellow Mountaineers, and their made from scratch cake doughnuts are delicious. If coffee is not your style, they have plenty of local beer on tap and bottled. (Your move, Dunkin' Donuts). As a small bus...

Just received a copy of an article from the Fayetteville newspaper about Bronson. He had been seriously injured and was coming back for his 6th year due to medical redshirt. If this is true, he's done with college football. Too bad....from the article he seemed like a good young man.

Re: Urban Meyer says 8 team playoff won't work
Frankly, that is a BS argument. If he were coaching TCU right now he'd be arguing that an 8 team playoff means only one more game and would ensure that all deserving teams were included....as long as they were from the P5 conferences. It's a level playing field as far as scholarship numbers...all D-...

Re: IT'S WAKE FOREST.... 2017
Maybe not with certainty, but I suspect even Chollie could have made this no brainer happen. But don't you find it telling that Cobb had 10 years to make a Wake-App game happen and couldn't. Then, two months after he leaves, it magically does? I find that to be speculation and pot stirring. Grobe w...

Re: How do you repond to this?
Truth be told, suspect we ALL thought 2007's game was going to go just like Saturday. We were fortunate that all the stars aligned correctly......other schools recruited Armanti as a receiver, he wanted to play QB.....Coach Moore was willing to overcome years of experience to institute a new offense...
