Re: UAB switching sides for tv
You guys should really looked into how the UA BOT has pretty much forced UAB into playing at Legion Field. It's pathetic how they are holding back the UAB football program. Legion Field is an absolute dump.

The one where your student section begins to pour out of Convicted Felon Stadium at the start of the 3rd quarter? Wonder how that one trick will do on Tuesday night Sun Belt games?

I encourage UnCC fans to take the "Outerbelt Challenge". It's easy. Just pick a day and a time and then drive one loop on I-485. Have a spotter count all APP and UnCC license plates, decals, etc....after you recover from your humiliation, you should realize that a "large market" just means there ar...

Endowment depends on how many students you have and your "National Research" classification not how many fans you have. God you're out of touch. Endowment fund are from external donors and a university's classification has nothing those. If you want to talk about grants, then yes those do relate to...

Re: Haven't seen this posted; so here goes...
UNCccc accepts anyone with a pulse, has a culture of young students commuting from mommy's house and exists to cater to working adults in the first place. It is a four year community college with a good soccer team. No one outside of the city even knows it exists. Try to buy some UNCc gear in The T...

I'm of the opinion that association of any kind with a glorified community college does more harm than good even though beating their team by as much as Satterfield allows would be damn fun to watch. I love that you keep using the term "glorified community college" when we have double the endowment...

The student fees are not included in the total contributions, but are included in total revenue just like App's is. As I said we contacted our AD and they said the 2012 numbers are incorrect, no idea what the correct numbers are, but given the money coming in from football even the rough conservati...

Another day another thread about the 49ers. This board has more threads about other schools than it does about App.

that's been my argument the whole time, why are we worrying about Charlotte, when we have Wake, ECU, etc waiting? Let Charlotte, learn to walk before they run, when they get established, then we will talk. Why would ECU trade a home and home with you when they are doing that with NC State, WVU, VT,...

soooo... we agree that App has better tradtion, fan support, (we have averaged over 28 thousand the last 5 or 6 years), don't even try and tell me you are going to match that, anytime soon, size of stadium, and, and I know this last one is subjective, but we have some of the best facilities in the ...

you are correct, the kids have not signed the LOI, and yes, I would be surprised if they all sign with us in January, but, answer me this, how many UNCC recruits, who have verbally committed to you, have also strong interest from BCS schools or atleast mid major established programs? Almost all our...

Scheduling ODU in the first 2 years was a huge mistake. You got out of it, and now are getting right back into trouble. The average person does not know the difference between Campbell and Old Dominion. You should have just scheduled a bunch of Campbells and lower tier fcs teams the first two years...

yep, JMU is trying to get the attention of USA if/when they start talking expansion again, good way to do that is play teams in that conference. We get nothing out of playing UNCC in the next few years, if we kick their asses, than everyone, including UNCC fans said we had 35 year headstart and we ...

Re: Haven't seen this posted; so here goes...
We moved to the FBS so we wouldn't have to play in tiny venues against no name teams. A free recruiting trip to the QC and a chance to shut up the most arrogant fanbase on the Internet would be fun, but otherwise it doesn't help us. If they want to come to The Rock for their beating, fine. Have fun...

So we want nothing to do with App but we are willing to schedule ODU and JMU?

Oh don't be mistaken, they should enjoy it and you can bet I would want App to do the same in their position. It isn't complaining, just stating reality. They have had every possible dominoe fall their way. UNCC is very fortunate to be located where they are. If anything I would be upset with their...

Re: 2014 schedule
I doubt Charlotte comes to Boone in 2014 and leaves our fans with 5 home games. If App came to Charlotte in 2014 and then Charlotte in Boone in 2015 maybe it could happen. Even then, we've been hearing Charlotte is still in talks with SEC school for a 2015 away game which would give us a full schedu...

Re: 49 Problems - Analyzing the Charlotte Effect
Very solid write up. You make a great point about all of the additional scholarships that will be added to FBS. Recruiting will definitely be tougher but it also a great chance for Charlotte, App, and ODU to eat into the depth of schools of ACC.

Same level as App State basketball? We had a 20 win season last year, beat multiple NCAA teams, and played in a post season tournament. We average 6,000 in attendance, you guys averaged 1,700. Big difference there. I think a home and home is very good considering you may not even be eligible for pos...
