Re: Supreme Court Paves Way For Collegiate Athletes To Be Paid

I don't think this ruling means what some people think it means. You are not going to see college football players driving Ferraris and getting huge paychecks every month.

I loathe mid-week games too. If I were king they would be disallowed.

Every coach in the country would have embraced one and done if they could have recruited that level of talent. The coaches didn't make the rules. Don't let your hatred get in the way of the facts.

Announcing a home game that is thirteen seasons in the future is less than meaningless. Absurd really. Just say the game was canceled.

Re: Best BBQ Joint - Boone

The PP has a lively bar scene and it's a popular place, but the BBQ is just okay. I like the chicken thigh they do there. White Brothers is pretty good. Woodlands is hit and miss, but on a good day it's still the best.

Re: Rivals Past/Present/Future

Good work OP, but you can't have ten rivals in my view. Maybe 2 or 3. Also if you have only played a team a few times, it isn't really a rivalry. There has to be some history.

Right now Georgia Southern is our only true rival, but Ark State is closing fast.

Just to clarify, the son was in his early 30's and was not a "kid". This was planned and there were early warnings.

Now watch the fanbase start wringing their hands and clutching their pearls over their hiring process. Should be fun.

They lost me at "neer". I don't twitter, but if I did I'm not a "neer". They seem to just want be provocative rather than productive.

Re: NCAA-T: Norfolk State (Thursday 3/18)

I'm assuming a win over Gonzaga would be more probable than our win over Michigan, right? MORE probable?? No way! Michigan was the first game of the season Gonzaga's gone a whole regular season as an undefeated team, and, is favored to finish it off by winning the Big Dance. I'd say a win (with a 1...

Re: NCAA-T: Norfolk State (Thursday 3/18)

I just got a call from my mother. She was worried that she wouldn't be able to watch because she doesn't have TRU TV. Reminder to all the moms out there that all the games are on the March Madness Live app. This concludes my PSA. Go App! I thought this game was supposed to give us national exposure...

4 losses in a row, a once very exciting season is slipping away. Run some offense and stop giving up 12 footers for crazy 3's. 480 attempts already this year . . .
Yeah it's been a disastrous four game stretch.

Wait until the huge project behind Harris Teeter opens if you want to see what poor planning looks. Shadowline Drive will be nightmare. The town needed better leadership, but the residents and students kept voting for the same people year after year.
