Re: Oreg St at 3:30pm - Discussion

TLDR, sorry if someone already posted this but what TF are we doing handing out rally towels and doing “Sandstorm”? Towels are a fine giveaway, but come on…are we really ripping off USC’s best known tradition? Small minds came up with that one. kind of like roll neers Roll Neers and rushing the fie...

Re: Game day Operations

Sat in the west side club seats yesterday. Sound was awful. Music was too loud and the high pitched feedback was very annoying and continued to happen throughout the game. The PA announcer also cut in over music several times and it sounded ridiculous.Everyone sitting around around me was complaini...

Big improvement in sound quality, but please retire "play me some mountain music". Ugh.

Re: Oreg St at 3:30pm - Discussion

I was going to post the same thought, I think Kohl is the guy until and if he shows good reason that he is not. I would like to think he has a lot of upside as he plays more games, and I don't think that is the case with Swann. He kind of is who he is at this point. Who knows.

Re: Game day Operations

There's a combination of the lack of information shared about the team and a lack of fan service as far as the uniforms combos, botched retro logo usage and the lack of care given to gameday operations that will boomerang back on this program eventually. $60 to park in a county parking deck with no...

I don’t think that on field performance is going to lose the engaged fan. The casual fan may lose interest but those footing the bill in terms of season ticket holders won’t bail.
You might be surprised, and it isn't about on field performance.

Re: Game day Operations

Curious time to spend a fortune on expanding the stadium considering that it is very possible that attendance drops significantly in the coming years. This is a huge gamble in my opinion.

As others mentioned the money is better spent on improving the existing infrastructure.

Re: Does culture matter anymore?

What exactly is/was our “culture”? I don’t ask this to be argumentative but I see words batted around like brand and I really don’t know exactly what is meant by that. You never hear a school mentioned as a culture of losing even if they generally don’t win much. I can’t see many more examples of t...

NIL killed App State football. I really hope I’m wrong, but we simply don’t have the money to keep up.
NIL and the portal killed college football. RIP. It was a good run.

Re: So Miss discussion

Really bad game for us. I hope that we are not becoming irrelevant. Games just don't even have the same feel anymore. App State Football peaked out on College Game Day Saturday in 2022. Nothing left to obtain. A lot of good loyal older fans, younger generation is spoiled, but the spirit of App Stat...

Word is that App State is bringing in a company that specializes in stadium sound to redo the sound system.
Wow, that would be a great development. Long overdue.

35,000 for Lindenwood. It wasn't that long ago that breaking 20,000 was a huge deal.

Re: Looking Ahead- Lindenwood

That was bad. But we lose that game last year in my opinion. What’s the point of that statement? The point is that some just can't let go of their hatred for a guy who loves this school but just was not ready. I see it differently. There wasn't any hatred in that post, just a lack of confidence in ...

Re: Looking Ahead- Lindenwood

Stroman’s issues are not the coaching staff’s fault. He’s been that way his whole career. It is an opportunity for the staff to improve him but I am doubtful because the issues go beyond the game. I am not saying this to be an apologist, but the coaches put the players into position to succeed for ...

Seems like the sound hasn't been good since everything was "upgraded" many years ago. It was better in the FCS days.

This looks like a completely different team than last week. Since the Stroman drop it's been one thing after another.
