Re: Dowell Loggains and his recruiting staff are absolutely phenomenal.

This is so true. You don't have to have the most talented team. You need some talent but coaching and just doing the little things right can make up for not being the most talented. Indiana just won the national title and is not loaded with 5-8 first rounders on the team. They likely have just 2, m...

Re: Spring game April 18th

And of course baseball is out of town on that weekend. Why on earth do they continue to do this? Baseball needs the support and the Athletic department misses easy chances to get fans engaged. It can’t be that hard to schedule this on a home baseball weekend around Easter and the Masters (which is ...

Did Nick Hampton start for the Rams?
If so, what did he say?

Re: 2026 ROSTER

I’m not sure Burgess is returning. I’ll have to run it down. It could be a quiet retirement. If so, another massive bust as far as playing time at App from that huge OL portal class we brought in a couple years ago. Guys retiring due to injury are not and should not be considered “busts”. Injuries ...

You might want to call them and ask about getting more. They might be able to accommodate the request.

Re: We need a good offensive coordinator

Scapegoat? Most fans don’t know enough about anything to form a cogent opinion. They just want to blame someone. I see what I see and I know what I know, after watching 40 yrs of App football. So I conclude I must not be in your category of most fans. Something aint right there in the play calling ...

Re: We need a good offensive coordinator

I’ll be shocked if we hire an OC. Loggains loves the TE in his scheme and he went out and got our highest rated recruit in a TE. He has no intention of releasing the OC role. If we see the same failures in offense next season, all confidence should be lost. Hoping he has the players in place next s...

Re: Birmingham Bowl

It was always the right decision to play this game. Everyone involved should be commended for it. The players that decided to play, mostly. They played hard and put in the effort. I'm proud of them. This game showed once more that the offensive play caller is a hinderance to this program. Dowell ne...

Gil Gerard - Actor Played Buck Rogers the Lead in Buck Rogers in the 25th century on NBC. Passed away after a short battle with cancer. Anthony Geary of General Hospital fame - Played Luke of Luke and Laura fame on GH. If you were at App during that time and you were a dude chasing girls around, yo...

Did we get any compensation from the contract buyout?
Doubtful. Position coaches are typically on 1 year deals.

Re: Who’s going to Birmingham?

He competed with Swann for the position. He slid, after he took a hit on a previous scramble. We that his choice or was he coached to do that? I’d love to see him out there, but in today’s portal world, I don’t know that not playing speaks to his character or the advice he is getting from his “camp...

Re: Who’s going to Birmingham?

Players are home for Holiday and meeting in Birmingham. This is not an uncommon practice for schools. App will pay mileage/airfare to get players to bowl. It's not coming out of their pocket. App State is paying. Just paying each individual rather than chartering a flight & busses. Exactly. It’s re...

Re: Who’s going to Birmingham?

I’m disappointed in Kohl not finishing the season, if true. Agree. Not sure that helps ease some of the doubts about his level of competitiveness. Hopefully those doubts are wrong, but ducking a hit and diving short of the 1st down earlier in the season Along with this has definitely raised some qu...
