True. The unfortunate thing is that everyone agrees which makes those position markets the most valuable in the portal.

Re: Other teams coaches
Loggains is obviously betting that he can get us back to where we belong and seems to have made all the right moves so far. Hoping we can keep him for 3-5 years before he cashes in if he is successful. Wishful thinking? What are some predictions / hopes for seasons 1 through 3 if he is with us that...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
So, this is related to the NIL mess. I have always enjoyed watching college softball, but haven’t watched too much lately. I decided this weekend to watch a few games including App and some nationally ranked teams. There wasn’t a single mention of NIL, the portal, transfers, etc. They did talk abou...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Per South Carolina 24/7 (so you can trust it): South Carolina has five former players who are scheduled to visit Appalachian State this weekend. QB Dante Reno, DB Emory Floyd, OL Kam Pringle and the Porter brothers. They're all scheduled to visit there. Porter brothers are DL and LB for reference. ...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
The constant Ferrari and Lamborghini references to those teams get a bit overused in my opinion. We had a really good roster but we had to hold on against and average UNC team and also against a bad USC squad who also nearly caught the game winner at the back of the end zone. Not to say we weren’t ...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Does anyone know what QB is currently in the lead for the job? I'm sure DLo will let the battle go beyond summer camp before naming someone but based off the spring game/practices, does anyone have a hunch? It’s hard to say. They rotated guys in and out so much that it was hard to get into a rhythm...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Being accused of being biased is still better than being jaded and petty because someone is performing in a job not to your liking. All the while knowing that you couldn’t do it any better, but it affects my ego so therefore I have to shout down anyone that supports someone hurting me.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
I am not really sure what the big deal is. Your school is your school. Things may change, but it is still your school. The changes are for everyone not just Appalachian. So, if everyone has to play by the same rules the system is fair. I would say that the system is fairer now than it has ever been...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
According to the attached article. Data from 2023 shows that roughly 1 in 5 G5 players that enter the portal end up getting picked up by P4 schools. I’d say putting 8 out of 33 portal entries getting “promoted” puts App above the average. This years numbers aren’t available yet. https://www.nytimes...

Re: App Sports Network
I would probably buy a low level sub for non football sports. Tennis, volleyball, socc3r, field hockey, etc. I dont even need announcers, just slap one of those nice rotating cameras up on a pole at each field. That was sort of my thought. Maybe enhance the school program that handles camera and br...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
By my count we have 76 scholarship players as of today. 19 Seniors 13 Juniors 17 Sophomores 27 Freshmen Thanks for the numbers on that. Fairly good balance with classes. It looks balanced but there are a few pockets of individual position groups that are not as balanced as you would probably like t...
