Re: Grading Football Recruiting from past years

It’s almost impossible to grade in hindsight because how do you account for coaching changes, injuries, poor player development, and even good old fashioned bad luck? You’ll never convince me that Jimbo Fisher isn’t one of the five or ten best coaches in college football, a great recruiter, and gre...

I would agree that Ivey and Brown were probably two of them. Has Clark been around long enough to warrant a P5 offer?

Re: Grading Football Recruiting from past years

I think that would be an interesting study but man that would be very difficult to plug in objective variables.

Re: UNCC - 6:00pm

Hey guys! Long time, no post... having 2 girls (2 year old and 3 month old) leaves time for, well, nothing else really. Anyway, I'm hoping to snag a couple tix to the UNCC game at some point if anyone gets any extras. I live in South Charlotte, so it'd be a shame to not be at this one! Probably wil...

Big win by Mexico. Combine that with the Iceland/Argentina draw and this is some good pool play action.

Re: UNCC - 6:00pm

I can see folks skipping this game or a September home game. Not everyone can carve out four weekends in a row for games that are either close to home or home games in Boone. It's not a problem for me to make the Charlotte, Southern Miss, Gardner Webb, and South Alabama in back to back to back to b...

Re: UCLA transfer

I wonder if this is a domino that will make others fall. I know nothing about this situation. Maybe this is non football related, but it is interesting for him to transfer to a school that already has 4 young QBs on the roster. He is joining his brother at App who is a PWO. Well duh. I wasn’t quest...

Re: New campus housing project moving forward

You guys don't have the right to tell people how to spend their disposable income and to suggest that they should donate in order to participate on this board is both elitist and inexcusable. That kind of mentality may fly in Chapel Hill but it doesn't need to filter to here.

Re: Schmid drafted in 13th round

Is money enough? Probably. Question is what does another year do? Could improve or could get hurt. Take it while you can and go back to school later. I would say that coming back for a senior year would not help improve his draft position. In actuality, it would probably hurt it due to the loss of ...

Re: New campus housing project moving forward

I am as sentimental as the next guy and I certainly echo many of the thoughts about this change. However, I think that this is a good opportunity for an ENHANCED gameday experience. Putting more green space in front of the stadium will allow for more interaction on the way to the game.

Y'all need to remember we barely beat Texas St last year. Actually lucky to win.
Good point. I think that while we want to believe that we are reloading talent with talent, it is unproven talent. That may translate into losses to teams that we should beat.

Re: Orlando Sentinel

According to Massey, there is a strong likelihood we should finish 11-1. They have Georgia Southern at 2-9. Boy if that happened, they would turn on Lunsford and Sloan in a heartbeat.

Penn State lost a lot of talent on Defense this off-season, we lost one of the most tenured QBs in CFB. Anything can happen.
As much as I appreciate what TL did for us, replacing Stringer is a much taller order given how pedestrian the defense looked without him last year.

Interesting that we are the only Sun Belt team that was given odds. I would probably throw down a 10 spot on UCF at 300/1.

The ball beat him to the plate. Great slide to avoid the tag. Unfortunately, the Ump didn’t see it that way.
