Re: Peoples

He’ll project as a slot WR at the next level and Peoples, Williams, Harrington are a solid three at WR. Evans is likely a top three WR on this team forced to play RB this year due to injuries. Putting Evans at WR gives Satt the most talent on the field. He was a starter at WR last spring before the...

Re: Peoples

Oh no! The person you just bet with is actually Evans! Joking! I have assumed that he would transition back to WR also, so I would be interested in hearing thoughts. both RB and WR are going to be full stables, but he will be a key contributor regardless of where he lines up. Ha. I’m not Ev...

Re: Peoples

I'd take the bet that Evans lines up at WR next year. If Harrington doesn't get hurt he would have played WR this year. I’m good with a friendly wager. I say that Evans starts the 2019 season as a RB. What do you want to wager? $50 Yosef Club donation he's higher on the depth chart at WR than RB. F...

Re: 2:30 game time

Understand the points above or staying late. No need to copy the thread again. For me it is a 12 hour drive home so if I can get out of town a few minutes early I will. By a few minutes I mean with a couple of ticks on the clock.

Virgil is the odd man out there.
Doubt it happens. Pretty safe bet that Evans stays at RB/KR.

Evans could move to slot, he needs to be on the field as much as possible.
Doubtful that he moves back to slot. If you move him back to slot, who do you sit? Hennigan, Sutton, Virgil, or Williams? Slot doesn't guarantee him enough touches per game.

Re: Peoples

No need to burn the shirt. Next year should be fun as we will have some hard nose runners in Harrington, Peoples, and Williams, along with the elusive Evans and Hicks.

Re: 2:30 game time

We have switched to 2:30 for late season games in renisicent years. We've lost an hour of sunlight and with it comes cooler weather. It does allow folks descending the mountain to leave before it is pitch black. Don't most of them leave at half time anyways? I really see no valid reason for anyone ...

I would be surprised if he played but the exposure will be good for him.

Re: Attendance today

Well we left quite a few points at the goal line so we could have hung 40 on them with a bit better execution. But alas, the goal is to score one more point than the other team and we started a kid making his first start in a must win spot.

Re: Destiny back in App State's control right now

The back up is playing better and he throws a good ball. But I watched the Southern game and it appears that he has a tendency to underthrow the sideline go routes. If the DBs can get their heads around, there are opportunities to get some picks.

Re: Troy or Stink?

Totally agree with your assessment and I got ahead of myself. I didn’t mean to assume the you were putting a benchmark on what we should win by. Some on here do though. It was totally unfair of me attach that thought to you post. Apologies.

Re: Troy or Stink?

I know the “one game at a time” posts are obligatory, but LOL at Georgia State being a trap game. As if the wizard coach Elliott has some mystical insights into us (that he apparently neglected to employ last year when he had a better team). We win by three TDs, minimum. I think you're absolutely r...

Re: Texas State game coverage?

I think, and this is just a guess on my part, but I think the reps are meant to give some game speed action. That is the biggest adjustment for incoming freshmen. I don’t think Peoplesis in the plan for exteded use this year.

Re: Troy or Stink?

Georgia Southern is a decent team but not a great team. They've made unbelievable progress since last year (coaching), but the fact is that App beat App that night. We were missing key players but the primary problem was execution and the number of mistakes on the field. We made them look much bett...

They may be holding back on playing Harrington just given the injury.
I agree 100% with this. The only thing that I will add is that if he is cleared to play from a physical standpoint, then getting him in to take some contact will help getting over the mental hurdles.

Re: Bowl selection order

I don't think that they will all pass on us with all things being equal. But it will all depend on how much ESPN gets involved. If it looks like App is going to go to the Cure Bowl, it is possible that ESPN blocks that to get them on the network.
