Re: Who stays, who goes?

HC/OC = Clark OL = New - Mario Acitelli QB Pass Game Coordinator = Washington RB Run Game Coordinator = Riley WR & Recruiting = Watts TE and ST = New DC/ILB = Roof DL = New OLB = Smith Safeties = Gasparato DC in waiting Corners = Harbison I assume that Washington is Tony Washington. Re: Who stays, who goes?

Drink is retaining Misery’s DL, and both Secondary coaches. Means Harbison and Stewart are looking for jobs. If Gas takes over DC, Harbison could do all DB’s, Stewart at DL, Smith LB’s. If Roof stays a DC and ILB, Gas as Associate HC and safeties and everyone else keeps their current roles. Best ca...

Re: End Zone cam, concrete being poured

Who was it that placed the static cameras on the dorm/old stadium lot site? The parking deck has long been finished. Would there be a way to move that camera elsewhere? When the season is over could it be pointed at the back side of the NEZ construction? I think that camera was put up by Choate Con...

If he is here, yes. If he is on his way out, then there will be a committee formed to conduct both searches.

Re: Who stays, who goes?

I am sure that ICSC has an idea who he wants to get to complete his staff. If he hasn’t done that prep work, then I’m not sure he is the right guy. FYI. I am sure that he has.

Re: New Orleans Travel options—cost

I prefer to drive as well. It’s a 12 hour trip to Boone but I would rather drive than fly. I drove to Mobile from Tampa for the DG Bowl. Drove up, got dinner, went to the game, drove home. Did the same thing for SC this year. The worst stretch of driving out of Tampa is the initial leg out of Flori...

Re: Our Next Head Mountaineer

We probably are close to losing some signed from ‘18 because their guy is gone, some commits for ‘19 because of uncertainty, ‘20 who knows. That ought to equal 2 classes. There will be attrition from the current roster for sure. There always is. It’s the nature of the beast. But that isn’t due to c...

Re: Doug Gillin?

What about going in a unique direction to replace DG (if he does go) and hire one David Jackson, The former voice of the Mountaineers. Knowing what we know about him, I would think he would be a fundraising machine. I was thinking about that yesterday. He would be a great fundraiser. Is he qualifie...

Re: New Orleans Travel options—cost

I rebooked the Hotel Villa Convento aka House of the Rising Sun. It's not a cookie cutter hotel, but my kids enjoyed it and they are the only Hotel with free parking. It's kind of dingy, but the sheets were clean and it's a true authentic experience in the heart of the Quarter. Since I'm a returnin...

Re: New Orleans Travel options—cost

I stayed at the one hotel with Parking in the French quarter last year....looking at options this year. Did anyone drive and have a good parking option around French Q/Riverside? I’m not trying to pay whatever hotel I stay an additional $50 per night to park. There were a few $20/24hr lots on the o...

If we can somehow bring Woody and Ivey back that would be outstanding. Our defense would be next level.
This isn’t going to happen unless something happens with DG. If he stays, not going to happen. If he goes to Cincy; 50/50 for Ivey, still a no on Woody.

Re: Who stays, who goes?

I am amazed at the number of people willing to give Ted Roof a pass. He is simply a bad football coach....past his time and out of touch. Nobody with his background has EVER been hired as a head coach. Well maybe in Little League. But App Nation better hope one of two things happen: 1. Drink takes ...

Re: Our Next Head Mountaineer

One of the silver linings is that next year's roster is very strong and will help with the transition of the new coach. If we were hiring after next year, they'd be coming into a situation with almost an entirely new offense. I just hope that Drinkwitz doesn’t pull a “General Sherman” and burn Atla...
