Re: I've had it
The continued horrendous performance of this team, IMO, is extreme. I just get tired of all the excuses, particularly the bash Jerry Moore ones. Satterfield is the head coach. It's his job to get better effort out of this team. It's embarrassing.

Re: I've had it
I stopped listening at halftime - too painful. So what's the excuse gonna be this week? Jerry's fault? We're young? Jerry's fault? No Sean Price? Jerry's fault? Too many mistakes/penalties? Jerry's fault? No motivation? Jerry's fault? Satterfield doesn't have his players? - Oh yeah, that's Jerry's f...

Re: the jug
If we play Whee and we're both 1-10, which is more of a likelihood than a mere possibility, it could be one of the best SoCon games of the year! We may get to see some exciting football after all. And no, Satterfield needs one more year before we talk new HC, no matter what happens these next 6 weeks.

Whee Prep
Start it now! It saddens me to say but only half way through and this season is toast. Winning record - gone. "Unofficial" SoCon championship - gone. We have one thing left to play for.

Re: Always AttacK?
I too am a music lover but I do not like rap. There is no place for the vulgar lyrics under any circumstances - particularly in a stadium filled with hundreds of kids. But my biggest beef is I'd rather not hear ANY music played after kickoff. It is distracting and takes away from the game. Pre-game ...

Re: Always AttacK?
Amen on the all sizzle and no steak. The best thing about our "gameday experience" has nothing to do with the actual game. Tailgate is awesome as always, except I'm seeing more empty spaces in the stadium lot these days. The pre-game buildup is good - players warming up, band pre-game show, national...

Re: Can't go through life....
When you take that trip over to Troy for the game let the rest of App Nation know - maybe you can all ride together.

Re: Always AttacK?
Don't fret the slogan - it will soon be changed to "Always Under Attack". Our opponents are seeing to that.

It's Gettin' Cheesy....
I've thought and read about every excuse that can be made for the team's performance thus far and there's not much we can do but hope things get better soon. On another note, was anyone impressed with the pre-game player intros? A couple of things that get under my skin lately: (1) Player intros - I...

Re: Go for two
True, that 2-point attempt didn't matter in the end but it was not the right call. You always kick the extra point when you lead or trail by 6 (unless you're trying to win a game in the last seconds of regulation). Of course Coach could have decided at the last second to go in to the "Always Attack"...

Re: Jackson is not the answer
They do run a different offense. However, they out-passed us by 46 yards, 83-64 completion percentage and 2 TDs. For a run first offense an 83% completion rate is about as solid as it gets. Based on the offensive styles those numbers should have been flipped. The 123 difference in rushing yards didn...

Re: Jackson is not the answer
I didn't see any rust dressed in maroon and they used a QB who did not see the field the entire last season. We put 10 players on the offensive side of the ball that were starters a year ago - I can't remember the last time we had that many returning starters, if ever. We're used to winning a high p...

Re: Jackson is not the answer
Jamal is a senior - he shouldn't need spring practice to knock the rust off for opening week in late August. He knows the play book. This was not his first start. He's performed well in big games before and arguably this was one of our two biggest games of the year (Stink). In other words, he should...

Re: Moore fired for this!
There are a lot of excuses to go around but the fact is we laid an egg. I won't give up on the team after one game but the showing was very disappointing. I was a huge Jerry Moore supporter and will support Coach Satt for the duration as well. However, we have to get on track or our encore FCS seaso...

Re: Moore fired for this!
And so the Satterfield era begins. This is the worst App team I've seen in years.
