Re: Good article about NDSU and JMU
JMU has the infrastructure to be competitive in all sports. They may lag a little in football, but even there they will be competitive out of the gate. NDSU is in a no-win situation! There isn't enough money coming out of a MAC/CUSA/MW tv contract to cover the added expense for the non-revenue sport...

Nike and other shoe makers offer custom design options. If you want to make an App shoe, I'm sure you could do it pretty easily.

Majority are less than 12 months aheadCro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 10:07 pmWould it be true to say that the baseball schedule, or most of our out of conference games, are scheduled just a year or less ahead of the season? Or are they scheduled years ahead?

Re: 2022 Baseball Mega Thread
Coastal a win over ECU (who had won over 20 straight) from Super Regionals. I know it's been said but help me understand. Every D1 baseball program funds the same number of scholarships correct? Theoretically if App gave 100% to (I think) 11 players don't the rest pay their way? I read it's 11.7 of...

Re: 2022 Baseball Mega Thread
Also, if someone cares to investigate, can you come up with teams in the field of 64 that face anywhere near the hurdles the Mountaineers do --- Here’s the list of “cold weather” schools in this year’s 64: Notre Dame - at large Michigan - won the Big Ten Air Force - won Mountain West Columbia - won...

Re: 2022 Baseball Mega Thread
Injuries aren't , on the whole , just a matter of uncontrollable luck. Especially pitchers. How many major league pitchers get hurt every year? - they have the best coaching, the best medical care and the best training - if not uncontrollable luck how would you categorize it? Maybe I misinterpreted...

Re: 2022 Baseball Mega Thread
Before the season, I said .400 against this schedule would be an excellent finish. We finished .377. That’s not desirable, but is a good performance for the SOS and the talent we had this year. I’m excited our SS is the Freshman of the Year for the conference! Drumheller has one more year of eligibi...

Re: Please defend NIL
Here's my NIL question...how long before a19 year-old all-american (quarterback or shooting guard) gets charged with tax evasion and rolls over on everyone involved ? Who is he going to roll over on? The taxes are on the person receiving the money. Poor word choice; better may have been blames ever...

Re: 2022 Baseball Mega Thread
@JG, our biggest opportunity for sustained success is player development. We’ve not consistently demonstrated an ability to bring in players and develop them into better players since the Pollard years. Kermit has to look at his staff with a critical eye. Are they great recruiters? Are they excellen...

@AppSt94 Yes, I forgot ECU. Objectively, that moves App's baseball facilities to 11th, in-state.

Re: 2022 Baseball Mega Thread
It's funny how some think App's facilities for baseball are at the bottom of the Sun Belt. I remember Louisiana's PBP guy, who has been to every Sun Belt facility multiple times over, had Smith Stadium solidly in the middle at I believe 7th best. Said it's smaller capacity than most, but a perfectl...

Re: 2022 Baseball Mega Thread
I wouldn't say "great". Why’s that? Perhaps 'cause we're 15-26 with losing records both home & away. That's bloody terrible! Nothing "great" in sight! FWIW, I love every kid and every coach in our program and want the best of everything for them. Our baseball program is fully funded. That's NCAA-sp...
