Josh Thomas had a heck of a game Saturday. I think he will be hard to keep off the field at safety

Against a higher level of competition, playing in many new places. The common denominator is good stable coaching staffs and talented players. I like it here.AppAttack wrote:Our record has been about the same as it was in FCS...

Re: Army beats Navy
I have just took a seat in a pub after leaving the game. It was a cold one today in Baltimore but many cold days in Boone prepared me well. I was pulling for Navy. My niece is a graduate of the Academy. However it is hard to pull against either of these teams. I am very happy to have witnessed my fi...

Re: Shawn Elliot new Ga State Head Coach
I'm stating the obvious but he will also need to put together a strong, cohesive staff. I think he has been in the right places in his football and learned from some Hall of Famers and that this will be helpful to him in this new position. I wish him the best, except once a year.

Re: Satterfield to Cincinnati?
I agree JT. I really think the additional revenue they have generated over a longer period of time gives them an advantage from a budgeting perspective. I also include basketball for Cincy since they do very well there and where we obviously lag far behind, especially with overall winning and fan su...

Re: Satterfield to Cincinnati?
Several factors, I think.
Cincy is a much bigger town and market
Cincy basketball team has had a lot of tourney success
Cincy has been in larger conferences with greater payouts for basketball tourney, football bowls, and TV revenues for several years now.
We are really just getting started.

For me (same as Stonewall) winning the Socon tourney in Roanoke in 1978. I got to attend the semi-finals and the championship game. Great time

I believe getting players chances at the NFL will impact recruiting more than bowl locations.

We stayed at a Courtyard in Prattville using points. Good place to stay, not a bad ride back to the stadium, and for golfers it's next door to one of the stops on the Trent Jones golf trail.

Re: Troy is the better team,but.....
"Not making mistakes is part of what makes a team better. That is just a fact. Ask any coach. It is a big part of what they do. We are not a bad team, we are a good team and I am proud of them. We just were not the best team." I get what you are saying here, but I would argue it also comes down more...
