Re: Ticketing Question

Also, to answer your actual question - besides all the normal secondary sites, this board has a ticket exchange that typically has people selling for any home game. But all the normal secondary market sites are good options too.

Re: Ticketing Question

You can generally get better seats on the East side. (The lower half of the West side is student seating.) But definitely heed Daphne's words about sun vs. shade. If cold weather is a deterrent, I'd avoid anything later than the Oct. 20 game (ideally one of the three September home games). If you wa...

Re: Yosef Club Raleigh Stop

Looks like it was a packed house. How did y'all like it? Good food? Nice space? Enough contact with / access to athletics folks / coaches? Food was fine; coaches, staff and athletes were plenty accessible. I wouldn't say the bank was an ideal venue. Limited seating and table space. It was a good cr...

Re: Starting QB

I didn't know Coach Woody either but it is my understanding his style of management was very "inclusive." That is a good thing for transition and consistency. I love the confidence of a DC saying this will be our best unit ever but if we achieve that coming off the turnover we have to replace in th...

Re: Starting QB

Heard from a defensive coach that this will be the best defensive team we have ever had... that is pretty exciting to think about. He Also said he thought Thomas be be fine. He took what the defense was giving him, made smart decisions and if nothing was open, he could tuck it and run. Hopefully if...

Live by the 3, die by the 3. Ask the Houston Rockets.
Or die because your all-star point guard went down with an injury and missed the last two games of the series after you had the best record in the league and built a 3-2 lead against an all-time superteam.

Re: Starting QB

 I like Brown a lot and thought he’d have a real chance to win the job. Sounds like Thomas really stepped up and separated himself from the group before much of a competition ever really developed. My impression is that Satt is pretty confident in him. Now right tackle might be a different st...

Re: More love: Which College Football Teams do the most, with the least? We are #4

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the overachievers tend to come from outside the P5. The recruiting services just don’t spend nearly the resources evaluating prospects at our level, so the recruiting rankings naturally aren’t as accurate. That and I imagine coaching plays a bigger role when nob...

I feel like just having the ticket for that bet would be a worthwhile purchase for say, $5.

Re: Dook Falls To Kansas

I'm neither a Duke, nor an ACC fan but I don't really see how Kansas winning is a big surprise....especially this year. Kansas is proud of their use of the "one and done" rule, and currently includes a player who had previously committed to App. This wasn't even one of Duke's stronger teams and the...

Move the line out to at least NBA distance. Dunks also count for 3.
Dunks should be 1 point. Not a lot of talent for a 7 footer to stand under the basket and dunk.

Basically the game was ruined as soon as they decided to cut the bottom out of the peach basket.

Re: College basketball style of play

So, the post-up shot in basketball is the equivalent of the run up the middle in football. I guess you have to do it in order to keep the defense honest, but it shouldn't be your bread and butter. That's basically what I get out of this. It's an interesting analysis, but I doubt it can be applied w...

Re: Wes MILLER and UNCG

Miller definitely had some on-the-job learning, as he detailed in a recent News & Record article (don't have the link handy, worth looking up if you're interested). OTOH, he took over midseason as a 29-year-old interim coach. One would assume he'd have a steeper learning curve than, say, a 40-year-o...
