I was thinking the same. I didn't think the playcalling looked different. It was just that we could hand the ball off and get 60 yards about every other carry it seemed like.

Re: Football Parking Suggestions
We use to park in Greenwood but the stairs back up got to be too much for my wife's knees. We now park in the Rivers street deck and love it. Convenient to cafeteria, campus and downtown. I had never parked or even been in Greenwood, but I saw how close it *appeared* to be to the stadium and bought...

Re: Spring Practice
I'm not really sure what new things anyone can find to say about Petersen at this point. But, looking at his track record, is it possible that he's a pretty good QB coach but not as good an offensive coordinator?

Re: 21-22 Roster Breakdown & Wishlist
I believe the rule is the same as in football and super seniors don't count against the overall 13 limit, in which case we have more than one spot left.
Could be moot as we may not use every available scholarship. But just something to keep in mind.

Re: Kerns Extended
I’d suggest everyone go check in on the what’s happening with the ETSU program and why the previous coach just “resigned”. Sure the money may be more, maybe, but that’s a helluva situation to voluntarily go step into. Also can we stop with the “4 game” crap. Kerns had this team in first place in th...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide
I will say this for appdaze's point, I think not being a jerk to people is a good rule of thumb in all contexts, but one that people seem to forget a lot more often when they're at their keyboard.

Re: Kerns Extended
Using Satt as some sort of cautionary tale is a big stretch. His issues at UL are largely self-inflicted due to the South Carolina interview and his botched press conference afterward. Even so, he's still fine as long as they bounce back this year. Yeah he needs to win, but that's the case anywhere....

Re: Kerns Extended
Kerns makes $300k now, ETSU paid $250k. Coaches don’t take pay cuts like that. Forbes was making at least in the 400s the year before. Depends on how bad they want him. I think Kerns is smart enough to know at this level, if you got your eyes on a much better job, you don't make lateral moves. His ...

It's not bad, but I like Vintage Yosef better.

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide
I just caution everyone here who constantly (and I mean CONSTANTLY) makes App fandom all about who’s donating the most money to prove it. Yes, money helps. But others contribute in other ways...emotional investment (and how that investment manifests itself) is extremely important too. Writing a che...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide
Put it this way: If philanthropy is the only motivation needed for Yosef Club donations, then why have benefits at all? Just remove all ties with parking and ticketing and make those things first-come first-served to the general public. No pregame hospitality rooms, no special events or access to co...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide
I guess when I donate to the various organizations (some private, some public) that I donate money to I don't really ask them "whats in it for me?" I just do it to help other people. Everything in life doesn't have to be transactional. Sometimes as people we just give. These days I rarely make it t...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide
Just to play devil's advocate a bit, can someone sell me on why I should join Yosef Club? What do I get out of it? What are the perks? Why should I donate my hard-earned money to an athletic department that I already paid fees towards for 4 years? As someone who frequently beats the drum that they ...

Re: Spring Practice
I've read a few quotes about Brice having had a 'bad' year at Duke. Well, his numbers were very similar to Zac Thomas', with the exception of a few more INTs - and I think that had more to do with the other Duke talent at receiver. Of course, there those who say Zac had a bad year, which I don't ag...

Mid Majors are gonna benefit the most from the transfer portal frenzy this off season, despite popular belief that high major / P5 schools will just "poach all the good MM players" Exhibit A in the Sun belt tonight, already two big transfers coming to our conference... South Alabama landed Jay Jay ...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide
The kids need to understand that athletics does in fact need more money to maintain and grow its success. Coaches don't get paid in tweets. The older folks need to understand that sometimes criticism of coaches, and maybe even players, is legitimate, and that you can't bully or guilt people into don...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide
I'm not saying those top 2 perks are bad, in fact I'd say they're necessary to encourage the higher donors to donate more, but we've GOT to do something more for these lower tier donors. Actually the more I think about it, free fountain soft drinks at sporting events might be a really good idea. Th...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide
Those of y'all talking about how these young people could spend their money on Yosef Club if they didn't spend it on decent beer or coffee or owning a phone (?!) are missing the point. If that's where they spend their money, it's because they feel those things bring them value or enjoyment. I've sai...
