Re: WR shakeup for Saturday

To be fair to all involved, I will be very surprised to see Meadors on the field, this week or any other, this year. He was shirted for a variety of reasons but the one that I was told was the deciding factor was that he did not grasp the offense very well and he desperately needed conditioning. If...

Re: Ga Southern Parking

Thanks for the feedback! I have to go to support my son so no bailing out now and I'm in the App section so hopefully there is safety in numbers!! And I've been on the field and in the stands for Auburn-Bama games so I've got a feel for what the hostility will be like - I'm ok with that! I will make...

Re: Start Lamb

Gonzo - it's a fair question based on the numbers. When you have 4 first downs in a half of football you need to step back and reevaluate. Saw it all in person and let me say first that UM has talent everywhere - I was impressed and think they can make a solid run this year. To stay on topic, my vie...

Re: Lost Province Brewpub open in Boone

Had a couple of beers and a pretzel there Saturday before Fan Fest. I actually enjoyed and think they have a niche that will fit nicely. It is not AMB or the TAPP Room. But if you want fresh ingredients and cooked in front of you pizza and salads.....you are at the right place. A little something f...

Ann Arbor

Two questions:

1) Who's making the trip?
2) Any insight/recommendations on where to go in Ann Arbor to have a beer and bite to eat (oh and hopefully celebrate a victory!!!)?

Thanks!

Re: Fanfest

I thought it was well organized and letting the kids in early to have 30 minutes with the team was a great idea. I think turnout was lower than in the past and I'm guessing because there was no scrimmage to watch so that kept a few people home. Weather was absolutely perfect.

Re: Band of Distinction

I certainly understand the budget aspects but I would hope that we would show up in full force given the history and national significance this game has for us. I'd like to see the full cheer squad, the BOD and all 105 rostered players on the field! I know resources are a big concern on campus thes...

Re: Sumler

Haven't heard but wouldn't surprise me, he has had a rough time with that knee, got to get him on the field, he is pretty much our only speed receiver, need him to stretch the field to create room for other receivers. Maybe the only speed receiver with any experience, but we have several freshmen c...

Re: Incoming recruits: Who plays, who redshirts?

We also have to keep in mind the coaches are trying to balance out the recruiting classes so that we dont have 30 seniors one year and 15 the next. That should impact redshirts one way or the other. Exactly. We will have a large group of RS freshmen playing this year. If you throw the incoming fres...

Re: Incoming recruits: Who plays, who redshirts?

If anything, we might be better off next year if more of those freshmen get game experience. No doubt about that - I guess the question is are any of those freshman dramatically better than what we have in the position right now. If so then they should definitely be on the field getting that experi...

Re: Incoming recruits: Who plays, who redshirts?

Great discussion thread! I thought I’d offer a different perspective for discussion. Since we are not post season eligible this year with the transition year, does it make any sense to redshirt as many of the freshman as possible in order to be fully loaded in 2015 when we are? Coach SS and I think ...
