You can play both x box and PlayStation games on the PC without their consoles.
However, the real OGs remember the Techmo Bowl game with App. I still remember the dude who programmed it. He's on this board sometimes. Thanks Rob. That one was loads of fun!

Re: Freshman Admission rates 2023 across conferences
Acceptance rate is a nothing-burger that people think presents them as being a better or smarter place. Standardized tests like the SAT/ACT are not equitable and should not be used to predict potential success in college. I want my university to focus on the students that stand to benefit from a col...

Re: Oregon State 10:00 pm TIP
Had a great time at the game last night. Looks like I even made it on TV a few times with my App State scarf. Sat with some of the players parents which was especially fun. I want to thank any parents that might see this for sharing their kids with us. These aren't mindless automatons, but real peop...

Fun fact: The longest road in the USA runs through Corvallis. Hwy 20 from Newport, OR to Boston, MA is 3,365 miles.

Re: Anyone going to game in Corvallis?
Today I learned again for the 1000th time what it means to be in the App State community. Thanks for the suggestion appgrad2010. There's no way my wife can say "no" now, right? The kiddo has been indoctrinated by App State football for a while with two games in Idaho and one in Wyoming. Now its time...

Anyone going to game in Corvallis?
Hiya friends. Anybody making the trip to see Apps play the Beavers? Would I be the only App there?
here's a haiku
Beavers dam the court,
Appalachian flows with skill,
Hoops battle fierce tides.
Cheers!

Re: Wyoming travelers
We're PDX to Denver on Thursday, then hotel in Ft. Collins for Friday and Saturday. Back to Denver and Portland on Sunday. We're doing the Denver Art Museum and Wings Over the Rockies on Friday before driving to Ft. Collins. I've never seen a B-52 or a B-1 Lancer in person. The Lowry beer garden ne...

For the record, Wyoming played against Portland State (FCS) and not Prairie State. That Portland State team just won over an NAIA team 91-0.

My family will be in the Brown lot. We're looking forward to the trip east coming from Oregon. It'll be my 13 y/o's third App game but the first that's not in the Kibbie Dome.

Alumni Tailgate in Wyoming?
Are the alumni tailgates at away games worth it? Looks like $25/adult and $15/for kids. They advertise pizza and drinks but I can get pizza and drinks for $65 elsewhere. Have you been to one of these? What was your experience? Was is a "tailgate" scene with a little rowdiness, or more subdued with p...

I see where Georgia Southern transferred in one of their own players. That's a new tactic we haven't seen before. Ha!

Re: The incredible shrinking future of college
Counter point: There are no "useless" or "BS" degrees. The goal of college is not solely to create employees who can serve employers in the way the employers want. The goals for each degree can be found on the App State learning outcomes page: https://irap.appstate.edu/institutional-effectiveness/st...

"Perhaps the mods won't strike this one." This reads a lot like blaming the mods to me. Why even start your post with that line unless.... well, I can't rationalize why.
