Re: Light Rail to UNCC

The Charlotte-based media do have a habit of skewing things based on location. If a triple homicide happens in Charlotte, it's no big deal if it happens in certain neighborhoods. If an App students gets lost in the woods for 2 hours, ledes start with "a small mountain community was rocked by traged...

Re: Light Rail to UNCC

The pearl-clutching going on in this thread is something else, man. I ride the light rail and have never seen these groups of criminals. Yeah, I don't know about groups of criminals on the lightrail. Been on it many times with no issue. However, crime on and around UNCC's campus is very real and we...

Re: Light Rail to UNCC

The latest stats I've seen suggested only approximately half of UNCC's students live on or near campus. Will the lightrail attract more student to live in the area, or will they live in Noda or Southend and take the rail to class? Rent might be too high in these areas. Time will tell. This is huge f...

Re: App and South Carolina Schedule Series

We were able to convince WFU and UNC after Miami agreed. Hopefully this will open doors for more SEC opportunities. No reason why UK or Vandy would now not consider, other than they are scared.

Re: App and South Carolina Schedule Series

Awesome. A two for one isn't a bad deal with an SEC school with an 80k plus stadium. We are going to need some more seats in KBS. Slow down now. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Until we can sell out Gardner Webb we should not consider expansion. 24k and a grass hill will suite fine for UNC, ECU, ...

He wont go from GSU to App...... P5 would be his next stop even has an asst he'd make more.
Maybe. None of us know for sure, but I think he would consider it. It's hard for some guys to go back to assistant after HC. Not sure if he's one of those guys. Time will tell.

Cobb and Elliot are the enemy now, so therefore they do nothing nice
Elliot could be our next HC. I think we have a little interest in seeing him do well.

Re: unc-harrisburg football message board

As a Charlotte guy obviously I would love to beat ya'll - but I expect to get beat down and get beat down bad. Here is the thing though, it really isn't that big a deal to me. We have bigger issues with our athletic department than one game against App. I am much more worried about getting the depa...

Re: Duke, UNC, NC State Among Schools Named In Federal Investigation

I used to watch college basketball religiously. Now I watch a handful of games before March. Maybe it's because i'm a grown man with kids, maybe it's because the product is awful. I have a feeling it's the product. Cheating is a way of life in the highest levels of college football and basketball, b...

Re: unc-harrisburg football message board

Ignore. Seriously, these guys are beneath us. Not a dig, just the truth. They are the worst FBS program in the country. We've one three straight bowl games. They can say what they want, but the numbers don't lie. I hope Satterfield does not take his foot off the gas against them this fall. I don't ...

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

Ericsaid, respectfully...I'm fairly certain you're in the minority on this issue (and that's ok). Those games give us a payday, allow our players to play against the best talent in the country, can help out with recruiting (I personally don't place as much of premium on this as some do) by allowing...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...

25,787 Avg attendance in 2017. I won't exclude "the big games" because that would skew the data. Attendance is attendance. In the Sun Belt and the G5 our attendance is "so great." Premium seating before outdoor seating is indeed prudent, but outdoor seating after that and as soon as we're able fina...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...

Stadium enhancements are the way to go. Our attendance is not so great outside of the Wake, Miami and the annual Parents Weekend game. http://footballscoop.com/news/ncaa-football-attendance-across-board-2017/ Replacing metal temporary endzones seats and porta johns is definitely an enhancement. Tem...

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

That leaves only one more home OOC needed for 2023.

At a glance, I noticed we need one more road OOC for 2019 too. We need to get on that.

...and still no Spring game? While the current formula works great, and I hate to criticize, I do think we are missing out on an opportunity in the spring to have an abbreviated gameday. A late spring game could be coordinated with a baseball game, or an all out campus event. It could be sold as a ...
