Re: Doug Gillin?

Since Peacock is still on staff perhaps they should pay him to assist with the next AD search. Whenever that time comes. He has always had a solid vision to benefit athletics as well as academics.

I was ok with the sun belt when benson ran the show, but have zero confidence in the new guy.

Re: Drink Interviews Update

The thing I fear is exactly this. Drink will clean house. He brought in his whole group pretty much. Clark might stay and possibly Watts (mainly because drink will leave him) but outside that, we’re scrambling. Drink also would pull recruits. He has no app ties and came in and left ASAP. Think willi...

Re: Drink interviews w/ Ark

Brown would be out the door very quickly as well. I would go with Clark or Ivey. They are older than Brown and both love App. If we don't want to lose coaches every year those are the two best chances. They would stay for a long time. I can’t say that I hate the Clark idea, Think the boat may have ...

Re: Eastern Carolina U

We don't win that game last year (actually didn't), this team looks so much better, and I mean TEAM. So Excited about the direction! How was the crowd, hard to tell on TV? Some twitter posts make it look a little better than it looked on TV. Box score says about 1,800. Ethan asked the players about...

Fighting hard. I’m impressed. Quick transitions, good zone and man to man. Still have some chemistry to build, but they have life.

Re: Coastal Carolina

Im a little confused why people keep singling out the corners. Sherm and Jolly, etc seem to be playing pretty tight coverage on the outside. We seem to be getting beat in the middle (either passing in the middle or swing out and run to the middle). To me this comes on the LB's and Safeties. As other...

Re: Relying on the Cheerleaders

I really dont understand how hard it is. I was a student from 05-09 and we had it going non-stop. Also - i do agree about the cheer leaders, i was talking to someone about that last game. They use to have signs and be on both sides of the field. Seems like such an easy thing to bring back.....

Re: App State chant

Can anyone tell me why it went away in the first place? Maybe I missed something. They attempted start the SKOL chant on the board at the start of the ETSU game (like the Carolina Hurricanes) instead of our normal chant. It didn't go that well. I am thankful that they will bring back the App/State ...

Re: Mountaineer Athletics to partner with noted sports psychologist

Unfortunately, i read this as just kind of a check the box partnership. It doesn't really seem like she has the time/commitment to be up here as she seems stretched pretty thin. Not to mention some of her clients can probably foot a bigger bill than we can. It would be nice to have someone more read...

UCF has a solid offense what makes them good, but their D sucks.

Re: Gator Bowl: Ted Roof "Pass D" v. Tx A&M 7:30 ESPN

Their pass D sucks, but their run D is 13th nationally. Jimbo runs a pretty balanced offense, but they do have a great RB in Trayveon Williams. Should be a fun game to watch.

Re: Brohm Staying at Purdue

I really don’t understand why some of you are assuming that he is gone with every job that pops up? He is a hot name in the media but that doesn’t mean that he is at the top of every ADs list of replacements. And just because a job opens, doesn’t mean that he is getting a call and just because he g...

Re: Milking The Clock

I guess I'll have to run stadium stairs for that typo this late in the season? LOL Meant our defensive coach Bryan Brown. Right losing coaches shouldn't get a game ball, but my thought was this is the best APP defense bar none in our history, he has done a remarkable job. Yes ..we talked about this...

Tackle that put Thomas out was flagrant and they get no holding calls and call holding on Big V when he did NOT hold
This. That was probably the one call that pissed me off the most. The bastard close lined Thomas when he was being tackled.
