Re: Boone Long-Term Growth

the only mass transit solution I can think of to get more cars off the road, without having to buy up entire neighborhoods and mow some hilltops/mountains down, is to have an elevated train. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDOI0cq6GZM The surprise being someone other than McLeansville or me posting...

Re: NEZ work today

Apologies if this question has been asked/answered already but there are 27 pages in this thread and I'm not reading through all of them... Why is there extra seating on the west side of the NEZ that isn't present on the east side? The building was built center-offset to accommodate as much ground ...

Re: Hypothetical....Would you? Game at home 7% or ???

Assuming 50,000 seats. 15,000 at 25%, 18000 at 30%. $50 ticket = $900,000. I would pay $50 to see App this year. I am not sure how many others would. I am sure we could use the money. Okay, I’ve got to ask. Have you been out in the sun too long? Your last two threads are advocating us to give a sud...

Re: Hypothetical....Would you? Game at home 7% or ???

What is the capacity of the stadium with restrictions? What could that bring in for the gate? It's listed at 22,000. It appears that the State of Georgia is allowing 20-25% capacity. However, it the banners were removable from the upper deck, I am sure that the capacity would be 50K (assuming the s...

Every league has its Western Carolina. The SEC has Vandy, the Big 12 has Kansas, the MAC has Eastern Michigan, the PAC 12 has...itself, and we have ULM.

Re: Hypothetical....Would you? Game at home 7% or ???

I would not be opposed IF, and this would not happen, but if the gate was considered our money and we could be guaranteed enough gate to offset the cost of the game and that could help our athletic budget. GaSt would not agree to that and I am not even sure if there would be enough fans to offset t...

The title of this thread makes me want to throw up.

In what world is this kosher on an App State message board?

Drink takes the lead over Coach O midway through the 4th Qtr.
And hold on four plays from inside the 1 yard line to hang on for the victory. I’m happy for him.

Re: Hypothetical....Would you? Game at home 7% or ???

Home field advantage is more than just fans. It's familiarity with routine, the surroundings, 3,333, the weather and the field, itself. Hard pass. Agreed. Huntington was not a good away destination. Rather not give the team that plays in a former baseball stadium any advantage Please explain in reg...

Blasted The Cradle Will Rock on the drive home today. Neil Peart in January, and Eddie Van Halen today. Guess I’m starting to transition into that “certain age” we all hit when musicians of my generation start to die from something other than self-inflicted...influences.

Its like you have 2 personalities. Boy that’s true. Newapp will agree with your post then argue with his own agreeing post 😂 If you do that you can always say you’re right. Nope, when i do that it means i agree with the post in general, but part of it i disagree with. Is that so hard to understand?...

Re: ULLLLLLLL Postponed

So we play them twice in December? We would have to earn a chance at the title game. Assuming we do win out and the season is not cancelled I wonder if ULL would just stay in Boone instead of traveling back if that happens. It will be interesting to see once we get to that point and need to know. R...

Re: Busy turf

The pellets don’t really bother me, but I don’t see why fields can’t have green pellets in the green areas, white and in the white areas, and trim areas in those colors. The most basic answer would be that the pellets move, no? I guess. But the black pellets still run over the green, white and, in ...
