RIP Tom Speed

He got me out of a ticket in 1997. I know he did the same for a bunch of App folks. https://www.wataugademocrat.com/news/local-attorney-dies-of-natural-causes-at-age-68/article_5651e05b-4ba2-5edd-b4f2-52ff1d78a8f4.html?fbclid=IwAR2sI4wMCt1C-p-1bd2ZkQMkrZYk6Y04Z4AXQ6FPA-BwRKbot2tnGkoIcC0#utm_campaign...

Re: NEZ Update Query

Ok...I have to step in here because I'm reading a bunch of uneducated guesses at the reason for the shoring towers (or columns if you will). The company I work for was called in a couple months ago to add shoring under the cantilevered seating section due to the load it was imposing on the structur...

Being a person from/of the Carolinas, Clemson runs college football in the Carolinas. We do a damn fine job ourselves, but talk to me when beat them, and until we do, quit drinking that black and gold Kool-Aid.
We run the Northern Division.

Re: Jalin Moore Waived

Maybe if/when he gets healthy, he can catch on in Canada. I have heard that may never happen. If he is healthy enough to play he is good enough to play in the NFL. If he is looking up north in the next year or so it is because NFL doctors advised him his career is over and then I would hope he does...

Pat Dye: He Once Called Us a Sleeping Giant

It took us 35 years to realize it. We hit the snooze bar a few times, but it turns out he was correct.

Interesting. Anything that beats Atlanta is worthy in my book.
Translate that to Latin and stitch it onto the Charlotte flag. It’s the whole city’s aim - be slightly better than Atlanta.

Re: Bowl Games

Huh? The ACC tourney isn’t held in football stadiums. And it was just in Charlotte last year. It has been held in domes before. And having one in the heart of ACC territory would go over well, like when they had a 25,000 seat coliseum to use — that wasn’t in Greensboro. I feel dirty talking ACC bas...

Re: Bowl Games

No to a dome in Charlotte No to a new stadium paid for my the city and state. A retractable dome gets the city a Super Bowl and Final Fours. When they replace BOA (down the road), it will be a dome. Re: Bowl Games

I'd like to hit Boca Raton, Cure Bowl, and Myrtle Beach once each. Long-term, we need bowl tie-ins in: ––Charlotte ––Atlanta ––D.C. ––Charleston SC. If David Tepper & Dan Synder can get the domed stadiums they want 2 bowls in DC/Charlotte/Atlanta would be better for everyone than bowls in Mobile & ...

https://goccusports.com/common/controls/image_handler.aspx?thumb_id=0&image_path=/images/2018/11/30/Brooks_Stadium.png Never been a fan of Myrtle Beach, but Brooks Stadium is a first-rate facility that seats 21,000. I’m guessing a majority (or at least a plurality) of App fans would be thrilled to ...
