Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?

Finding a way to win the Oregon State game felt like a turning point in the season at the time to me, yesterday’s performance has me feeling like that may have indeed been the case. This roster was still churning well into August and has continued into the season. Feels like both sides of the ball a...

Re: GA St discussion

Can we give a true freshman more than 6 games into his freshman season before talking about “concern”. My goodness, it’s not like he was a 5 star recruit fellas.

Re: Game day Operations

Or we could have one fund that only gives 100% to scholarships and one fund that goes to pay coaches, enhance facilities, etc. The idea of giving to fund a scholarship vs. the other aspects is pure to some. Think of it as endowing an academic scholarship vs. giving to the general fund. Lots of dono...

Re: Game day Operations

Adding extra cost, like $5 more for an aisle seat in the East deck that I have had since the deck opened? That was just one of many things, that has been hard to swallow. Being moved from Duncan when we were told the creek under it was being "day lighted", moving to Blue Ridge Lot and paying A LOT ...

Re: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

It is game 1, but what we saw are the results of a coaching staff that knows what they are doing. Big turn around from what we've had. I had no idea of what to expect, but all of the coaching experience that we were told about matters. It's early but our coach may not be around long in the single A...

Re: Game Notes vs Charlotte and game discussion

Not saying this is a perfect team by any means, but I watched a decent amount of Sun Belt over the weekend. There’s no reason this team can’t compete for the Sun Belt title this season. Regardless of opponent, this team passes the eye test in a way the last few App teams did not.

Re: BGP

Appreciate AJ getting back to calling balls and strikes for this staff and how we are approaching various aspects of the program. Much better than the apology hour each week the last three years. While I agree I'd like to have more information leading up to the game, I have to wonder how much the n...

Re: Swann starter

IF there isn't a QB1 yet and it's still a race for 3 QBs, that's awesome, my opinion. That "should" mean we got 3 great QBs fighting for the starting job. Swann shouldn't have any issue with the teams we play this year. He did start for Vandy and played the SEC schedule. I like we have 3 guys fight...

Re: Swann starter

I feel like it's all fluff. They were telling HS coaches it was Swann deep into the summer. Either something happened, Kohl stepped up big time or DLo is just using coach speak. I'm with 94, we've got a couple that can do it though. It would be cool to see a goal line package with Kohl if we can bl...

Yeah, you may want to dial back the screen shots. Not just because it’s a violation of the 24/7 user agreement, but also because many people here aren’t concerned about what happens over there anyway. Exactly, this was the point I was trying to make. For the record, I find the conversation here jus...

Re: Game Notes vs Charlotte and game discussion

Someone on 247 posted this taking a dig at not having a depth chart posted and said it is a crazy concept. There are schools that never post a depth chart. We are not the only D1 school who is not posting one. This is just the first time I can remember in a long time that we did not do it. Screensh...

Re: Info Flow/Fan Excitement

I agree. What if our defense is bottom of SBC though? I just want to see how we look before projecting anything like that. I’m pulling hard for DJ. I just don’t want to put pressure on him. He's a D-1 D.C. Pressure comes with the job. Always going to be some but does not mean we should add to it. A...

Re: Info Flow/Fan Excitement

Agreed that it means we had a huge year and that is fine with me. Has Gillin or Loggains said DJ is HC in waiting if this goes well or just what people are assuming? Reason I ask is that after what happened with Clark I could see Gillin going for another P4 coordinator with no App ties since it wou...

Re: Info Flow/Fan Excitement

Since I brought it up, probably best I clarify what I meant. Mainly just meant that it feels like any details from practices have been scarce. Don’t necessarily need starters listed or even a depth chart, but feels like it’s been tougher than most years to get an idea of who’s making plays in practi...

Yeah, nothing in my spam file so I followed the trail to the old one and sent a message to join the email list. I didn't think we had to do that, but then again I still haven't received a second one as of today. Same for me. I’ve went back and subscribed multiple times but still not receiving the n...

Re: Indoor facility. Sofield is down.

How many schools have full size indoor facilities? Do they make the ceilings high enough to allow for punting? I’d say all of the P4 schools have an indoor facility. I wouldn’t think all of them have high enough ceilings to punt in, but probably a decent amount. I would think most, if not all, also...

Re: Sun Belt presidents to vote Monday on Louisiana Tech

Great breakdown of SBC budgets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBwscfAyb5E The ticket revenue disparity is much larger than I anticipated. Wow, I can’t believe that the talk of App being the little sisters of the poor in the SBC isn’t backed up by actual data! Its almost like those folks pedaling ...
