Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?

Charleston job is now open. at least 1 mill a year salary. Big sport on campus. Back in SC. Keeps a tighter pulse on the Clemson job for one day. Lets be real his phone will ring about this job. seems like I remember hearing that Kerns talked to them a couple years ago before Kelsey landed the job.

Watch Abson go to Wake
Not near ACC caliber
I just saw Spillers list that has reached out to him. Wake is the only better team out of about 8. Grass ain’t always greener.
Where are you able to see schools that have reached out?

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)

My question at this point is what job is Kerns taking? Makes you wonder... But I’d take Samford coach or Bob Richey at Furman. Getting ahead of ourselves, but need to pound the portal so we should have a backup plan. I thought when Richey stayed at Furman after being courted by S. Carolina that the...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)

To me, this really sounds like Coach Kerns is leaving - wow, all of this is sucks I did find is strange that he didn't leave the Wake Forest postgame interview with the typical "Go Mountaineers, take the stairs" mantra that he normally does, but maybe I'm reading too far into it. I know he was piss...

thus far it appears that Ga State and Texas St are leading the sun belt with players entering the portal (high contributors as well)

I think we have a 3rd commit out of Seneca, SC. Point guard. Not sure if Scholarship or not.
and the Stanback kid out of Asheboro....6'6" and long. He doesn't show up on verbal commits for some reason.

Re: NIT

Just took a closer look at the brackets. App has the second best record, Ind. St. has one more win and same number of losses. Only Princeton has fewer losses. Let's do this!!!! not to be the negative Nancy, but we also didn't play in the ACC, Big 12, SEC, etc WF is uber talented and will pose multi...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis

Do not understand "wasted season". Season not over. If we get NIT, when is the last time we were in NIT? It has been a minute or two Although the season is not over, when building a program, seasons like this make it a heck of a lot easier for coaching staff to get HS talent and transfer portal tal...

the way I see it is we have the toughest matchup we could have in the quarterfinals. Both USA and Southern took us to overtime this year, so they both think they can play with us. It's time to put those thoughts to bed.

Re: Donovan Gregory

I met Donovan one time after a game when my son wanted to take a picture. He was hanging out with classmates, saw my son standing there waiting, and left his friends to get down on one knee, give my son a high five, thank him for coming, had about a 5 minute conversation with him about basketball, ...

Abson is clearly a focus for the game planning of our opponents. He’s earned it.
He’s also missed some easy layups around the basket lately that he would normally convert.

Re: Are any other rosters built like ours

(there's also a higher level of players in our line-up). I think that is the biggest factor. The offense has obviously changed, but it is more similar to what he ran at Presby. When he was at Presby they were actually one of the leading 3 point shooting teams in the country. And 3 point percentage,...

Credit ODU playing one of their best games. Physical down low. Made some tough shots. We are just too much for them 1-9. Move on to MU. As bad as ODU’s record is this year, the only teams in the belt that have beaten them by double figures are us, Troy, and JMU….and they swept Marshall, beating the...

Huntley showing Abson isn't the only dude who can shut the door in the paint. Need to drive at the big fella down low...get him to foul out. Maybe it's me, but ULL looks MUCH better than JMU did. They match up well with us. Yeah, it’s really about how they matchup with us. We’ve historically had tr...

“We’ve played in tougher environments than this.” Please come out in the second half and curb stomp these guys.
Just looked back through their schedule to find said “tougher environment”. Texas St, USA, Rice, La Tech, old dominion, Troy ? Nah, don’t think so.
