Re: Roster/Staff Updates
I've not read of our peers having this much success in the spring round? What percentage is due to our staff crushing it vs. others being in a better position with the talent coming back? I'd like to think more of the former! My guess is in first round of portal our staff was still incomplete and D...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
I would venture to say at this point the numbers of missing from 247 for App may likely be similar for other schools. I can undstand 247 does not have immediate visibility into every school's activities and that goes for all FBS not just App. That being said what they are reporting for App is probab...

Re: App Sports Network
The idea is good but there would have to be some ROI to support this. They don't call some of them revenue sports for nothing. The good thing mentioned above is that we may already have much of the infrastructure in place and it may merely be getting some folks (probably students to contain cost) to...

Re: UCLA football
I hope Joey kicks butt at UT. It will be good for him and good for App. If so, it would be a reflection on our less than good coaching and offense. It would not surprise me if he excels. On the reference to Joey's game at Clemson. One cannot completely give him a free pass BUT here are some key fact...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
After Cali and IRS he is estimated to get 822k of that 1.75 mil that was thrown around earlier. If UCLA went lower then he might make 700k maybe. Ouch. Biggest fumble of the portal era so far. https://www.facebook.com/share/1LZmXYsAhf/ Maybe Nico felt he might not perform as well as he thought at a...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
IMO, any P5, i.e. UCLA, better have more than one option for QB going into the season, no matter what you "think" you have in spring. We all know that all major college teams want multiple options in the QB room, especially when you don't have a known performer. And even when you do have a starter, ...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Let’s not forget, last season’s defense was one of the worst App has had in a long long time. For sure in the FBS era. Is it any surprise that there are wholesale changes occurring? The problems were either players, coaching or both. Looks like a lot of both. We replaced the coaches. Once the new co...

Re: The Tournament….
Duke plays” smart” or what I see as that. And of course they make shots. I thought Alabama’s athleticism might bother them. It didn’t. Hmmm , brains over brawn? They also played defense. Alabama was highest scoring team in the NCAA and shot over 60% from field inside arc for season and scored 113 p...

Re: Loggains - GoFGs interview
For those who have heard DLo on a couple of previous interviews the first half was much of same things he has said before but great info for folks who have not had the opportunity to have heard those other interviews. The second half was good info and mostly new conversations with the GoFGs. They do...

Re: ACC
All this talk of more money, switching conferences, etc... the problem is that the Sun Belt media deal is absolute trash and Gill got bent over at the negotiating table. We have like 4 regular season basketball games broadcast on the national network for the whole conference. It might mean playing ...

I wish we had an offensive line that could line up at one yard line and everybody in the stadium and watching on tv know the offense is going to run it straight up middle and they methodically ram it down defenses throat.
That was a beautiful site

Let me just make a point about Drink. This is not to be a jerk to those that had hard feelings about his one year and left and felt he just took advantage of App and left us in a bad situation, but just an observation that may help folks feel a little better about him. Apparently he has helped App v...

So if one buys a specific college team, What assets do they get? Stadium, all future revenue from tickets, branding rights, etc?
Do they control the donor giving money incoming?

Re: App Transfer Portal 2025 - OUT
Here's another thought on the Portal. I wonder if schools have told certain players to hit the Portal to test the market and determine their value? If so, maybe some schools do (or will) tell a player that they will consider matching another's offer? That’s a dangerous approach. In a private compan...
