Re: Maxwell Watch List

I think the key for Moore is to stay healthy for a full season. I believe if that happens he will have a phenomenal year and probably be one of the best in the nation.

Re: Hot seat rankings

That 49-0 ODU game is still a very impressive performance. Out team showed up and whipped the pants off those guys. It was a complete demolishing of an opponent. We clicked on all facets of the game and still could have put more on the board. I smile every time I think of that game. I would like to ...

Re: App Mention in Jalen Hurd Article

Supposition , all the way around. A bounce of the ball and we could have won. “If” . “But”. “Candy and nuts” True but an extra point wins the UT game. We missed a field goal and with a reliable kicker we probably take another field goal shot at end of regulation instead of forcing downfield and run...

If we had Rauch in those games we win walking away

That’s the difference between winning at Michigan and losing UT and WF

Re: App Mention in Jalen Hurd Article

That was absolutely one of our best defensive performances of all time. Our players were flying all over the ball carriers all game. We had multiple tacklers on almost every play.

Re: App Mention in Jalen Hurd Article

That's pretty impressive that we punish a RB so much that he is forced him into a career changing decision. He encountered a bunch of gang tackles and hard hits during that game. Here are just a few examples: https://www.bing.com/th?id=OIP.JM6CgeAqvD2CenFeUblDBAHaFk&pid=Api http://cache2.asset-cache...

Re: No 9 for coach leaving

You guys are all wrong about Sat. He's a competitor and while money is a big draw, he will only leave for a real challenge. NC State might fit the bill but so does Appalachian State. We have been very successful during his tenure but we are still no Boise State and we could be. If he stays it will ...

What’s the over/under on margin of victory by App for UNCC to fire Lambert? 20, 30, 40?

What trips the wire?

Re: No 9 for coach leaving

FYI, Tyler and Taylor are twins that only a limited few sports writers and analyst were aware of, therefore the limited references to Tyler in the media. App actually got a two for one on the Scholly because it was not public knowledge. This was another genius move by Satt. They never played in the ...

Re: Penn State write-up at SBNation

Win or lose I do want to leave injury free as much as possible Isn't that a goal for every game? I really hate when folks use that point every time we play a top 25 team as a justification for a loss before we even play the game. We all agree PSU will be a top 10 team and we will have to play a nea...

Re: Orlando Sentinel

I wanted to be higher but if I am honest with all facts this is a very good and fair. It could have been worse and still fair.

Again I say this is mostly based on our reputation of consistency and getting the most out of our players during last 4 yrs.

Re: Orlando Sentinel

At this point it is clear Satt’s reputation and consistency is probably carrying us up the list. I like it. I see some of the teams that were below us have had much more inconsistent performances year over year, some really good years but also really bad years. Sat has kept us on pretty much a stead...

Re: Grading Football Recruiting from past years

It’s almost impossible to grade in hindsight because how do you account for coaching changes, injuries, poor player development, and even good old fashioned bad luck? You’ll never convince me that Jimbo Fisher isn’t one of the five or ten best coaches in college football, a great recruiter, and gre...

Grading Football Recruiting from past years

Does anyone know if there is an existing process/system in place that grades schools' past recruiting classes based on actual performance over their 4-5 years when the students were at the school and performing on/off the field? We always hear all the hoopla about an incoming class but that is all b...

Re: 5 year graduation rates for class of entering fall 2012

It is great that we are #5 of 16 but we have a long way to go to be #1. UNC-CH @ 88% NC State @ 77% App @ 69% I am not sure where we were 5, 10, 20 yrs ago but I suspect we have made significant progress over that time. I know this has been a priority for App for many years. Anybody know what the po...

Re: New NCAA Transfer Rules....WOW

That is is how I read it too. Player can transfer without current school’s permission but still have to sit one year.

This would eliminate situations like Sutton.
