Re: #19 in the USA Today 1-130 Re-Rank

We rout our opponent by one of the largest margins in this year’s bowl season and drop a spot. Wow!

Conference play starts in two days, time to start winning.
I didn't realize conference play was the start of the season. Could someone remind me, why do we play out of conference games then? What has all these teams been doing playing games for the last month and a half?

Re: 2022 Schedule

Excuse me but it’s a bit hard for me to get too worried about our opponent 4 years from now. That is an eternity in college football world. And what happened in the game today between NCSU and A&M will have nothing to do with our game in ‘22.

Re: Saint Louis game debacle

I was totally onboard and optimistic Fox was a good hire at the time but unfortunately it has not worked. If you have not seen the progress you needed after 4 yrs (there was only marginal improvements) then an extension was not going to change anything. I thought the extension was a bad idea and hop...

I'm not sure why we ever schedule outside NC boarder states.
Are you serious? We want to be a national brand now and therefore should broaden our opponents likewise.

Re: 2022 Schedule

The only way we get to top is by playing top 25 teams and win. We have to keep scheduling quality opponents while we continue building our program stronger year over year. Notre Dame got to CFP by playing top 25 opponents and winning. Our SBC opponents will have to be our weaker opponents in the fut...

Re: Sunday Morning QB ---

Hey, I looked a bit wise in my post saying that we need to give it a little time. I always believed we could do well in FBS if we made good decisions. Four years later and we are a premier G5 program and hopefully will continue to climb.

Defensive Performance Bar for new DC

Before we hire anybody for our new Defensive Coordinator I want to make sure everybody knows what our expectations are at App State and where the bar is set for anybody taking on this job going forward. 2018 App State Defensive Statistics for FBS (just pulled today so may or may not include all bowl...

Great show. Can you get this on a regular basis during offseason? Maybe monthly or so to keep the base informed?

Jalin Moore rushing in for the go ahead TD at Penn State. He was a major force in that game. He would not be denied on several plays.

Re: Two Gillin Gripes

Louisville had approx. one month to find a coach. I want DG to find the RIGHT person quickly but get it right. I think he had a short list and was probably working behind the scenes even in advance of Satt's ultimate announcement. Let's give DG a few more days to nail it. On buyout, there may be oth...

Re: This is an opportunity

To really evaluate App State's football program and athletes program more generally. I think we have suffered from an overestimation of where we are (more like Bosie State than say Arkansas State). Look at how many G5 schools have won games against P5s over the past five years. Talking about the NY...

Re: Players reaction to Coach leaving...

I suspect many former and current players know the App program is bigger than any one individual. Each will come and go hopefully contributing by making App better than when they arrived whether in the role of a player, a coach or both. They all support each other throughout their lives regardless o...

These are the decisions Leaders want to make. "Give me the ball, I want the ball, I want to make the big play". This is the time for a big time AD to deliver. I think he will.

Re: ESPN picking MTSU

Anybody that is sub .500 in picks is not worth listening to. A monkey could do better than that. Realistically a random picker would get 50 percent so whatever logic he is applying is actually making it worse. The one accurate point is the uncertainty of our coaching situation and that is still TBD....

Re: Let's Get Satt Paid

I don’t understand how anybody that is an App fan can feel any negativity towards Satt if he decides to move on to another program. He has given us 20 plus years of his career. He has been great to us. In today’s world, most people typically make several key moves throughout their life to advance th...

Re: Peoples

I didn’t see anybody grinding Troy down in the second half last week. We had a massive grand total of 50 net yards of offense in 2nd half. Also a great RB does much more than just take a handoff and run. Jalin has it all so whoever replaces him also has to block and catch too.
