This is an example of why an AD can't always listen to the players.

Re: Alabama businessman approach

No trash talk Just line up and execute And do it over, and over, and over, and over!! Business baby..... Ohio State felt the sandpaper without the crap. Would love to see that at the Rock 😃 Noted that as well, wish to see more of that. Nothing like a WR or Back signaling first down with the chop do...

Re: Yosef Club Giving

We should hire college kids to walk around and sign up monthly Yosef givers. Give the student straight commission of 6 months of what ever they get signed up. Pay them monthly as the money comes in and after 6 months all the money goes to Yosef Club. A little rich but yes we need to have people sig...

Re: Transfer Portal

Never known a player at App to be benched just because a transfer came from "big name U". We have a program of "earn your time" and I expect that to apply to every player regardless of how they entered the program. Also discussing a player or players performance does not equate to being dismissive ...

Re: Yosef Club Giving

may need to revive this thread in August!---Or we could set up some sort of MMB tailgate meet and greet! I think, too, we should get some of those really oversize boxing gloves and have some of the more antagonistic ones dook it out! Hey WVAPPeer, you and me go first? ;) :o

I convinced a friend to join by telling him if he agreed to join for 3 years that I would match his initial donation for year 1. I also just re-upped mine for 2021.

Just out of curiosity, parking wise, where is everyone? Be nice to put faces to usernames. I'm in Music

I’m truly surprised that Lance Ware’s name hasn’t been mentioned. Is there any reason that he wouldn’t be considered?
Don't think his resume' screams Upper tier G5 level coordinator.

Re: Peterson to Illinois?

Our losses were not 100% because of TP's play calling ability. Perhaps he wasn't the right fit at App State, but he was hired away from the program (perhaps it was mutual), not left on the curb. Just as Ted Roof was hired away from the program last year, after many felt that he was incapable during...

Re: new oc

Question: Would you rather have another Drinkiwitz who's a hot commodity come in and win the conference but have them only here for a year, or would you rather hire like say a Taylor Lamb someone who needs to learn the ropes but is guaranteed to stay several years and we don't initially win the con...

Re: Peterson to Illinois?

If you expect a freshman to step in for one of the big three and it be a seamless transition then there is no point in discussing this point. You don’t see where you are wrong in your expectations. That is 100% correct. Usually won't be a seamless transition. Which is why it's on the OC to use that...

Re: CBS Rates First Year Coaches

Here’s a recent look at where App has ranked nationally in penalty yards: 2020 — 107th nationally out of 127 teams 2019 — 111th 2018 — 72nd 2017 — 101th 2016 — 85th 2015 — 76th 2014 — 94th Im actually okay with some discipline issues if it fits our game. What I mean to say is that football is about...

A little of both. Eli didn’t run his offense either. He ran the offense that we had with Satt with a few wrinkles of his own. Only difference, is that he had healthy, experienced players all season.

Re: Peterson to Illinois?

Regardless of who the replacement will be, we are going to see the same offense next year, which is the same offense we saw under Eli. The only difference is that whoever it is, is going to inherent the same group of skill guys that Eli essentially had. TP did not. Some due to opt out and some to i...

Re: Decision Announcements

Have not noted this mentioned, but i have to believe there has been a sit down to discuss budget for these players coming back. I know it does not count against numbers, but comes with cost. I would not believe we would be able to just open it up to whoever wants to come back. would love to know wha...

Re: 2021 football wish list

1-Fewer "mental" and "discipline" penalties
2-0 Goal line fumbles and punch-outs from behind
3- better Red Zone TD%
4-Waaaaaay more touchbacks on KO's
Bonus- If we could somehow lessen the obligatory TD given up on the first drive early in the year, i could cut back on BP meds!
