Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

This is a nice get for Akron. Three game series are nice arrangements with good pay. Kentucky is paying Akron $250k for expenses for the home and Home game at Ky and then $1.3m for the third payday game. I don’t understand why so many think the three game arrangement is a negative. The Akron Zips an...

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

Home and Homes are nice but they don’t pay the bills. While a H&H with UCF/USF won’t net the money earned from a P5 money game. The extra 10,000 tickets we sell for Wake, Miami, UNC-CH or whom ever at $45 a ticket plus extra concessions sales are likely a bonus $500,000 after extra expenses verses ...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...

25,787 Avg attendance in 2017. I won't exclude "the big games" because that would skew the data. Attendance is attendance. In the Sun Belt and the G5 our attendance is "so great." Premium seating before outdoor seating is indeed prudent, but outdoor seating after that and as soon as we're able fina...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...

My point is... That outside of the big games we average 20k to 22k and since the story notes a continuation of decline in college football attendance; that adding luxury seats and stadium amenities as we are preparing to do appears to be the most prudent measure. Many who share ideas here believe th...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...

Stadium enhancements are the way to go. Our attendance is not so great outside of the Wake, Miami and the annual Parents Weekend game.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

I just like that ECU is now coming to Boone before our guys play in Greenville! I'm guessing it's not VT, but I'd like to point out that people are incorrect in assuming VT does not go to G5s. They have a history of doing just that, and even will be playing at Liberty in coming years. You're right....

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

South Carolina fills their giant stadium and has 7 home games a year. The only possible SEC schools are Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Kentucky or Missouri. These are the only ones who ever schedule at a G5. ACC schools mostly will schedule at a G5 with the exception of VT and Clemson. Tho...

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

Georgia Tech or Duke..... two schools that actually schedule Home and Home arrangements with G5 schools. Either will be fun, or let’s announce both.

Re: Old Watauga HS now App State property

Will we not get the consultants who just worked up the most recent grand master plan to work on this? I think if additional parking decks are built that they should be at each corner of campus in an attempt to have fewer cars have to cross campus. A new deck where Legends is and a new one behind Hol...

That has to make the basketball team feel bad.... Only way to entice people to basketball is to bring the football team to the game.

Re: Falcons lower concession prices and in turn make more money. KBS could this work? Especially self serve sodas....

I think the most important number to take away is the fact that there were 65% more point of sale areas rather than the pricing. If you give people more places to spend money they will spend it. I know I rarely go get a soada at the games because I don't want to sit in line for 20 min. The falcons ...
