Re: Conference realignment
I believe the Big 12 will add at least 2 and probably 4. There will be some major restructuring of G5 conferences in the next several years. It will effect us even if we do not land in a different conference. Like where we are now though.

Conference realignment
Just thinking. Does anyone think that our athletic administration has been in touch with the AAC should the Big 12 take any of their members? Not nearly as far fetched as ECU or Arkansas State to the Big 12. Should we be acting proactively if an opportunity presents itself? I would prefer the Sun Be...

Re: ECU vs APP
I would like a 1-1-1 deal better but I am OK with what we did. You have to put your trust in your AD and he is doing a great job. There may be reasons we don't know about yet as to why the series was scheduled this way. Great that we are playing an in state rival with minimal travel costs to the sch...

3 that I can think of but that would be all. The 3 are in state by the way.

CUSA message board
Out of curiosity, spent a few minutes on the CUSA board. They are in panic mode over their recent TV deal and the general state of the conference. In comparison, it looks to me like we are in a much better situation in the Sun Belt. Especially if all the Sun Belt schools keep improving and CCU works...

Re: Billy Jones Fired
To anyone who says we can't get quality players to come to App, we came close to making a super regional just several years ago. Plenty of quality on that team and several others in that time frame. Those were years when you went to Columbia, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Clemson, etc. and expected to win. ...

Re: SBC adds 5th Bowl
Looked at the MWC web site. Lots of good names there including Boise State. Average weather trend for this bowl site is dry with daytime highs in the mid 60s and lows mid 40s. This may be a good bowl. Downside is travel distance. No TV package really hurts it though.

Re: Athletics announced White Out for Old Dominion
I support the white out in theory. It will only work though if there is white t shirt of some sort given to every fan that comes through the gate and that may not be possible. If they are going to have a white out then support it. Get on board and stop complaining. BTW, I also kinda like the all whi...

Best wishes in your future endeavors. To me, you will always be "the voice of the mountaineers." Many great things happened during your time in the box and you made them all even better with your calls. THANK YOU!

Re: P.B. Scotts article
When I was a student at App I served on the committee that put on the on campus concerts. It was called Popular Programs. We hosted Jerry Jeff Walker in Farthing Auditorium. For some reason, he and his band flew into Wilkesboro and I picked them up at the airport. So I had the Lost Gonzo Band in my ...

Re: Two Things for thought
Add long snapper Elias McMurray to the list. One of the best in the country and we have him for 3 more years. EVERY snap this year on a punt, fg, or pat was perfect. Important and often overlooked position and he does an awesome job.

Re: Oline and QB are real problems
Some people on this board need to be thankful with what we have. IF there any areas that need to be addressed I am sure our coaches are aware of it and doing just that. If you don't like Taylor Lamb then the next 2 years are going to be difficult for you because he will be our QB. Get over it and be...

Can tickets be purchased through APP ticket office? When will travel information such as air or bus charters be available? Although, it's still not "official".

Re: Camelia Bowl
The stadium actually holds 24,000 and looks rather nice. Let's take it over. Shouldn't be a problem to get a nice APP crowd there. One other comment. We don't need to start downplaying the GoDaddy bowl. It is a good bowl in a good city. Let's be thankful that we are going to a bowl game and wish GSU...
