Re: A positive note
Tiger, we have enough talent to be a bowl team, but I'm not convinced we have the talent to compete with the top 3-4 SBC teams, but perhaps we're saying the same thing. I'm concerned about our depth at oline, secondary, and RB as well. I do agree the coaching and game planning that is occurring is ...

Re: So Miss discussion
My two cents....The offense looked tired in the first half, mainly because they were on the field the whole half. I think the coach could have used a few timeouts in the first half to rest a tired offensive line. Second, I think our coach is good and will get it done. Third, Said coach did not do a...

Re: A positive note
I don't understand some of the negative talk, things are looking up. I sat close enough to the bench Saturday to see and hear a lot. Our coaches were doing a great job of going over things, breaking down missed assignments and detailing roles. They praised good play and corrected mistakes. The kids ...

Re: So Miss discussion
Coaches call plays and put players in position to succeed. I think the coaches have been doing that. Coaches don't throw interceptions, drop passes, fumble the ball, commit penalties, etc. Only possible criticism of the coaches is the red zone play calling, we seem to move the ball up and down the f...

Re: So Miss discussion
Would’ve liked to see what Wiles could’ve done a little sooner, but I’m sure he’s not playing the first string defense. This, he actually looked better than the other QBs to me. Granted it was late and probably not against their first team but his timing and accuracy seemed better. Either way, they...

Re: So Miss discussion
Is the game at 7ET or 8? ESPN says 7, but the APP website says 8. i think app state website always shows time based on local time if one is planning to attend in person. Espn shows time based on IP address of where you are and will be watching on TV or a device. Game is at 6 CT based on everything ...

Re: Game Notes vs Charlotte and game discussion
Optimistic, A lot of good tonight. Still some stuff to clean up but overall looking like we might have a football team again.
BUT... we must remember this is just Charlotte, still a lot of work left.

Re: Best QB passer in App State football history?
Not sure I'd put him at the top of the list but surprised no one has mentioned Steve Brown yet. There was a time when he and Ric Beasley were pure magic. He was a bit of a fearless gunslinger and a little sloppy with the ball at times but man....Think it was 1978 or 79. I remember we used to score p...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
I watched the replay several times again today and Coastal got hosed with the umpire throwing Schnall out of the game. This is the CWS and there has to be some leeway. The announcers could not believe it. I am not saying this would have changed the final outcome but it was not right to CCU. I don't...

Whoever it is needs a good tag line. I never thought I'd get over "Touchdown Black and Gold" and "Ball game at the Rock". But i grew to love "That's an App State touchdown" too.

I think the pizza joint was Chanello's or something like that. Chanelo's was over on Faculty street behind where the Hardee's was and in the same shopping center as Footsloggers before it moved downtown. I lived over it and worked there. It was far from the worst pizza ever as someone else mentione...

Re: 2025 Men's Golf Mega thread
Golf Teams are cheap (relatively). I always wondered why we bothered with it. You can't play up there for a huge part of the year so no seriously competitive golfer would come to App for golf. And yes, I'm still pissed they took men's soccer away.
