Re: Boone Makeover

I didn’t intended to start and argument of the definition of walkability. Generally speaking it should be something that creates a place. That’s what fosters a thriving atmosphere that supports retail/restaurant/commercial use. Being able to walk down a street does not mean it’s walkable in the city...

Re: Boone Makeover

McLeansville- would you choose to walk down 321 in the same way you’d want to go for a walk down King St? Would you want to sit on a restaurant patio that faced 321 outside of Standard?

Re: Boone Makeover

One of the goals for TC of mixed use may have been to deter student housing. But more importantly it should create walkable areas (ie King Street). In addition to the height, that’s the poor implementation of the requirement to the Standard. 321 is never going to be walkable there. If anything, comm...

I am curious how/why MOntgomery would take us over ArkSt, which wasn't there last year and is slightly closer.

Old Winston Social Club always turns it on whenever I ask.. But I also have a 3 y/o so we'll be watching at home too. Although I might keep her up as long as the game is close.

I talked to Natalie yesterday. She said they were working on renewal and Yosef packs. Should go out in the next week or two.

Re: High Country weather

Funny little note is that with no skiing, Mystery Hill on Monday had their best single day in over half a century with 1,000-plus visitors. ASM is aiming for opening the slopes on Sunday. They need 48 hours to make a ski-able base. Sugar and Beech are likely the same. It takes Sugar about 36 hours....

Anybody catch the hottie going around in the Aviator saying "Hail Southern" Saturday night? It's amazing what they can get away with. If she had been a toothless gumroot a fight would have certainly been in order. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk I did but I doubt she even knew App was ...

Re: App State Fans in the Triad?

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the game this year. I would be interested in going to a place with other App fans to watch the game and socialize. One would think that Winston Salem would have a place to do this. Does anyone know of one? I have always gone to Old WS Social Club for games...

Re: Camilla Bowl ticket sales

I think this has been asked, but I don't recall an answer. Has anyone attempted to add more tickets to their order and get seats with the ones they originally ordered? (I'd call the ticket office myself, but I'm in a meeting. A thrilling one, obviously, since I'm checking MMB.) I emailed Mountainee...

Re: 6 years ago today...

One of my favorite memories. We lived about .5 mile from the stadium at the time. When we found out the weather and tailgating situation we told folks to come tailgate at our house. I looked up at one point and didn't know 30% of the people in our place, but it was all good because they were App fan...

Re: Camelia Bowl

Hampton Inn for me as well. I really cannot believe that people are complaining. First year of eligibility and we are going bowling. When we made this decision in the first place people were worried we'd toil in obscurity with 3 win seasons like WKU for years before we sniffed a bowl. Now all the s...

Hotel is booked for us too. Can't wait. I've stayed in the Hampton Inn once before. There's a couple good restaurants, including a bbq joint and a sports bar, in walking distance. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk We are at the Hampton as well. Is it real BBQ or that Ketchup based spew? We're booked...
