Re: OK - here's the question ---
In earlier replies it was mentioned that the SBC should drop Idaho. I have heard this mentioned on many occasion by many different people. But here is the reality of Idaho. Idaho is a FBS school and there is no transition period and they are just football and are offset by a non-football playing mem...

Re: bowl rankings
This is the whole problem with the SBC. The Bowls and TV deals are the reason why the SBC has schools leaving constantly. Bowl tie ins are made when a new bowl is created and two conference's agree to sign on to places team in those games. The SBC does not have a current bowl game against any P5 con...

what does the SBC do if they lose a school?
What does the SBC do if they lose a school? Do they try and add two to go to 12 or to they stay at 10 and go to 9 game conference schedule? If they stay at 10 and go to 9 game conference schedule how does this affect APP's OOC for the future. Next year would be easy I guess you drop the FCS game. Bu...

Re: Idaho and New Mexico St
The attendance requirement (From what I understand) only applies to FCS schools wanting to move to FBS. Once you are FBS then attendance is not an NCAA issue for staying FBS. The reason why Ga. State, UNCC, and other schools have been able to get into FBS without meeting the attendance requirement i...

Re: What is going on?
So I have a what is going on question! The SBC bowl tie in's have already been picked per ESPN. ULL to New Orleans bowl, Ark St. to Go Daddy Bowl, and USA to Raycom camellia bowl. Question is USA finished 6-6 and Texas St finished 7-5 (both finished 5-3 in Conference). But this feels like a attendan...

Re: Are We...Marshall?
Have to say one thing about Marshall's schedule, they originally had Louisville on the schedule for this year until Louisville left for the ACC and canceled the game due to conflicting dates with ACC games. So it left Marshall in a position of having to fill that spot at the last minute. This can ha...

Re: Help for Special Teams
The Bigger issue is that APP was able to get him over both Penn State and ECU who both were in the running! That says a lot about how good he is and how good APP's football program looks compared to other schools.
Big win for APP here!

Re: What is your opinion on KBS expansion?
There is a plan in place for expansion already as seen by the below webpage. But I agree until we can get back to filling up the current stadium plans are on hold. But it does go both ways in order to get more P5 schools to come into KBS, the stadium has to expand. Look at Miss St went to USA this y...

Re: How long do you see us in the Sunbelt?
I really don't get why people won't APP out of the SBC. To me the SBC is the perfect conference for us. Yes C-USA might have a few closer travel games (UNCC, ODU, MTSU), but once the SBC adds another Eastern team (Liberty, EKU, CCU, etc) it will split into divisions and most travel games would be 5 ...

Re: SunBelt Bowl Projections
I find it odd that the writers did not place a MW team in the New Orleans Bowl when it is SBC vs. MW this year. One picked a MAC school and the other a PAC 12 school. Wonder why? It would be great to have the PAC 12 school, but don't really think the SBC wants to play all three bowl games against MA...

Re: Bowl Eligible?
The only way that GS could get a bowl invite is if there is not enough 6-6 teams to fill bowl games, then transitional teams with winning records would get invite before 5-7 teams. However App would have to win out to be eligible even in the transitional rule due to App playing two FCS schools in th...

Re: P5 playing at G5
I think that Duke would be next on the list. Then probably looking at another series with Wake don the road. Don't see many other P5 schools wiling to come Now we may be able to get a home and home series with a bigger name P5 school if we agree to play the game in Charlotte in Panther's stadium. I ...

Well in the South we believe in 2nd chances (even 3rd and 4th's) so all can be forgiven if UNC will schedule a Home and Home Series with App! Not asking to much

Re: Benson speaks
In regards to avg attendance, I thought the same thing, but I am quickly learning that is not the case. Look at all the newcomers to FBS that are start up FB programs, they did not have a avg attendance (Ex. Georgia St, UTSA, ODU, UNCC).

BB on App State TV?
Wondering if any of the insiders here know if BB is going to be shown in Video format on App State TV this season? I see where the website shows all the upcoming games and all say Radio, none says Video feeds. Did App lose the ability to show games on App State TV for BB as well like FB? Or will all...

Re: Benson speaks
It was a interesting interview I thought. It really sounded like the SBC is not aggressively searching for a 12th member. Benson stated something along the lines of if there was another Georgia Southern out there then we would take me but there isn't. He did seem to react snobby to the statement mad...

Well I figured once full cost of tuition and stipends come about next year, some sports would be cancelled. Maybe this will be the first one. At last there would be a good excuse to cancel it.

Re: Hey, GUESS WHAT, We are YOUNG !!!
I agree with the fact that the team is young. You can see it in the size of the players. They look like a bunch of high school kids playing and they are making dumb mistakes that hopefully will get corrected. The pill that is hard to shallow is that they lost to a FCS team. Now I know, other sun bel...

Not trying to pick a fight, just wanted to know if anyone else noticed that Jerry Moore was wearing App St sweatshirt that said SoCon on the front when he was interviewed by ESPN 3. I know he had all the success in the SoCon, but could we not at least provided him with a shirt that had the Sun Belt ...
