Re: ECU vs APP

I still stand by my original statement, but out of curiosity, I went to the ECU 247 site, to see how they feel about this; what a bunch of ass@#@$@, their running their mouths about not only having to play in Boone and Charlotte, but having to play us in general, you would think that they we're a to...

Re: ECU vs APP

I don't have a problem playing an extra game in Greenville, you guys are acting like we having been playing FBS football for the last 20 years, and have won alot of bowl games. Fact is, we have only been playing in the FBS for 3 years, in a stadium that only sits 24 thousand. If the roles were rever...

Re: Ahh to be in Boone right now.

live here in South Florida, weather today, 95, with the heat index around 105, can hardly breath when you go outside because of he humidity. People always complain about Boone winters, don't ever hear complaints about the summers.

Re: GS Troubles with NCAA

really strange that no one had a heads up this happening, never seen that before, hopefully its a minor infraction that the administration didn't feel necessary to make a big deal about and put out any press. As far as GS, I absolutely hate everything about them, but, I don't wish them, or any of th...

Re: The Appalachian Way

reading this, they seem pretty short on specifics on why she should relieved of her position, just looks like people with an axe to grind. I will agree with them on one thing, unlike Peacock, who told us immediately what his visions were for the University, and started almost immediately to implemen...

Re: CCU troubles

Mo, not piling on here but CCU was solid add in my opinion. What are your thoughts on GA State? no problem CVAPP, honestly if I had to chose between CCU and Ga State, I would take CCU, atleast they are really good at baseball, soccer etc. and there is a good chance football and basketball will be s...

Re: CCU troubles

first, making it to the FCS tournament isn't that hard to do, they take 16 teams, sometimes 2 or 3 with records just over 500, and we are talking about the Big South, again not traditionally a great conference for football powers, just finish in the top 2 and your in. I'll agree it was nice seeing t...

Re: CCU troubles

I guess it comes down to what is your top priority for bringing in CCU. If its a more rounded athletic program, that's solid in almost every sport except football, then it makes a lot of sense, but, if your of the mindset, that, whether you like it or not, Football is the premium sport that drives t...

Re: CCU troubles

I have fully supported CCU's baseball program as a positive for the SBC, but I still have strong reservations about their other programs especially football. Someone mention men's basketball, well that great the made the big dance two years in a row, but lets be honest, the Big South isn't exactly a...

Re: Esposito next coach at App?

If what is being posted is true, that Esposito is the guy we want, and we need more cash, I wonder if SC will match or even exceed what we can offer just to keep him? Honestly, If all this is true, got to wonder whats the hurry? I assume there are some potential coaches out there who would do a grea...

Re: Interesting read about collapse of CUSA

If things keep progressing downward, I will guarantee you in 5 years, both CUSA and the Sunbelt will come up with a mutual solution of a one time waiver of the exits and entrance fees to start the talks of a realignment of the conferences. If both conferences become desperate enough they will find a...

Re: Interesting read about collapse of CUSA

this goes to show that 1. MAC leadership really knows what they are doing and CUSA/Subelts leaderships are just amateurs in comparison. 2. CUSA former commissioner made a big gamble, and lost, thinking that bringing in all these schools with no football history, or national recognition, could have a...

Re: 2015 G5 Attendance Numbers - App at #27

yep, last year was a totally @##%up schedule, and throw in the bad weather, you can understand why we were 27th. Now with this years schedule, no excuses not to lead the SBC in attendance and top 15 in the G5. I'll say this, GS had a great schedule and still finished behind us, this year their home ...

Leggett would be an interesting choice, knows the area as former coach at WCU, and he did a great job at Clemson for a long time. I just wonder if he has any energy left to rebuild our program.

Re: Billy Jones Fired

I would think we would be on the hook for his remaining contract. As far as firing him with a year on his contract, normally, with money as tight as it is, you would think we would wait and not renew his contract, but when you look at the program going forward, few wins, players leaving by their sop...

Re: Kirby Smart - App State mention on ESPN

Kirby reminds me a lot of Kiffin when he was HC for Tenn, a lot of talk months before the season begins, trying to stir the pot. The UGA administration would be smart to sit him down, and explain to him that until he actually accomplishes something, its in his best interest to be quite and just get ...

Re: HCC Upgrades coming?

bottom line, winning cures everything, unfortunately, much harder than it looks, atleast for us, still, I have a lot of faith in Fox that will eventually get the program on the right track, upgrades to the Holmes center certainly is a step in the right direction.
