Re: What is Major College Football's Moral Obligation...

It’s becoming more obvious that regionalized conferences are the way to go, especially for the G5’s. Reduced travel expenses, larger crowds and more compelling games simply makes more sense. Annual games against ECU, Charlotte, Marshall, etc would really be a boost to us.

Re: What is Bar for 2020 Football Season?

Good topic and discussion. If we dig up basically the same thread from last year the overwhelming bar level was to win the Belt and championship along with beating the Heels and obviously the bowl win. The win at USC was hopeful but really not expected by the realists on the board. We hoped for the ...

The bonus that I find funny is the last one. If we make the playoff how much would App State actually get?

Agree with the above. The man has done nothing. Our programs are in the toilet and have no real viable future. Word on the street is that we might shut down football altogether as the team is a disaster.

Re: Dorm Names

How about Holley Hall (after the Tavern)? We scheduled Friday classes such that they would be done early enough to make it to Holley’s early enough to get a seat at the long tables.

So Evans had a really good showing at the Combine. I think he represented himself well. Just trying to bring the topic back

Re: SunBelt Football Schedule 2020

Play the games on Saturday. Period. Mid week games are horrible. The main reason why they stink is that they generally kill off any game the prior or following Saturday (for Wednesday games). Are we the next MAC conference now?

Re: ESPN Pre-Season Top 25

Getting any top 25 mentions can only be positive. I personally think the words brand and branding are absolutely beaten to death on these threads but maybe it's because I am 56 (LOL). At any rate if we can reach the point of being in real discussions as far as legit top 25 teams for reasons other th...

Re: CLASSLESS JERK!!!!!!!!!!

This thread is still going because we are a one trick pony. Baseball stinks right now so there is nothing to discuss. Basketball, while significantly improved, is still just above .500 as a program. And it is mid February, a long way from football season. And we have lots of folks who just like to s...

Re: Finish Strong 2 seed possible

Based on who everyone above us plays in their final 2 games it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that several teams (including us) end up 10-8. Even Texas State has two toughies to go. Just for kicks and giggles if there is a tie between several teams at 10-8 and the schools split head to head h...

Re: 2020 Depth chart

For what it’s worth App is a solid enough program to be a P5. I’m not saying that we could win a P5 conference or even be in the upper echelon, nor would we be a doormat. I think many would agree with this assessment. That being said we easily have lots of players who could either start or play sign...

Re: Buckle up. Knuckle up.

Noticed that they had a couple of those 6’6” slasher guys who got to the rim easily. Too many easy layups. We really struggle getting the ball up the court and in a half court set. It’s tough getting guys in the paint who can finish. Still, great to still be in the mix.

Offensive rebound and kick out for immediate 3 attempt. Not every single possession!
