Re: ESPN Article- App State New Year 6 Bowl

I can see UCF making its way to number 5 but probably won’t grab a top 4. That being said do they get a major bowl bid leaving the NY6 open even if they run the table and still win the AAC?

The two TD's across the middle at PSU.
I’m talking pass plays over 25 yards. Unless I missed something there was one by PSU and one by S. Alabama.

Re: Duck a mid season all american

I can only think of one or two sizable plays that have been converted against our first team secondary. I recall one by UNCC and maybe a couple more? I’m talking over 25 yards. Help me out.

Re: State of the backfield

There isn’t a dumb post on this entire thread. We are absolutely loaded at back and receiver. We lose a potential POTY and we are saddled with tough decisions as to who plays. We can potentially use enough guys that nobody tires or gets overused. Best I can tell Satt doesn’t typically sing the prai...

Re: Top 25?

I agree, 15-25 we are highly competitive. 5-15 we don’t get embarrassed. 1-5 we probably get embarrassed. Exactly my thoughts. So say we run the table and win both the conference championship and our bowl game we might be in the 15 range at year end. We potentially return a better team next year. I...

Man, that used to be our bread and butter. Good times
I love that play. Even the name is cool. Maybe we are waiting for the need to arise. Haven’t had to use half of our potentially killer plays yet.

Re: Top 25?

I think that the bottom line is this- at the end of the year be considered one other legit best 25 teams in the country. Nobody cares who the number 7 team is at that point. If you ain’t in the top 4 it’s all a crapshoot. If you end up at 22 there’s always an argument to be made that you might be be...

Re: Opening line for ULLAF

No offense to anyone who uses the term trap game but that gets tiring to me. We play 12 (now 11) regular season games, hopefully a championship game then a bowl game. This game is at home. No way we come out flat unless of course that means we only win by 21 points. This team has way too many weapon...

Re: Opening line for ULLAF

Risk here of not covering is Satterfield pulling the starters early for rest because of the short week with the game in Shreksboro against the Gumroots. Excellent point. I would imagine it would be based off when, and if, LaLa quits. Although, a legit argument can be made that the second best defen...

Re: APP STATE up to 25 Votes Top 25 coaches poll

Good point made earlier about UCF. Probably much better for us if they end up in the playoff- not crazy considering how the top are eating each other.

Re: Top 25?

Appalachian State went to Arkansas State this week and dominated, and after taking Penn State to overtime, there's certainly a little buzz surrounding the Mountaineers. Of course, that Penn State game looks a little less impressive now that the Nittany Lions have two losses, and there really isn't a...

If every young man who puts on the black and gold brought that attitude and love for our school we would never lose a game. People wonder why we have something so special on the mountain. There you have it.

Re: Satterfield's contract extended!!!

One aspect of any contract that can be given to Satt are the relatively low bonuses tied in. If we remain in the Belt our probable bowl opportunities will stay the same, with low attendance and limited exposure. The overall level of the teams in the conference most likely will stay the same- App, Tr...

Re: GSU at Texas State Tonight

I was not impressed with GASU tonight. The STINK is not Back! Perhaps not but they are 5-1 and 3-0 in the Belt. We do go there. I seriously doubt it will be a cakewalk. And, it's not like we throttled Texas State the last time we played them. App State football V2018 is on a different level from V2...
