Re: Who stays, who goes?

Are these other P5 schools just way overboard with coaching salaries, particularly the ones who are basically .500 schools most every year or is App just really low with what we pay? Where do we rank with a coaching ROI? It would seem the answer to both is, yes. Exactly. App’s salary is one of the ...

Re: Jordan Fehr

It goes without saying that a good percentage of guys playing college football, particularly at the highest level, dream of moving on to the NFL. Obviously the numbers are stacked against all but a select few. It would be great to see lots of our guys competing on Sunday's and I hope they make it bu...

Re: Football Staff

short term vs long term. Drink was short term and made as big a splash as he could including short term hires. We got our 13 wins. Great Season. And he got a great job out of it as did those great hires. But you can't say it wasn't at the potential expense of the culture on the mountain. Clark's ch...

Re: MBB vs Ark St tonight

Obviously woulda, shoulda and coulda don’t mean much but we had a great opportunity over the past few weeks to be at the top of the conference. Hopefully we can get and stay healthy and a couple of the close ones will come back to us. College basketball is more wide open than ever before. It’s great...

Re: Football Staff

So as of right now who are the coaches on the staff and what do they coach (other than head coach Clark)? Asking for a friend.

Re: Who stays, who goes?

I understand the dilemma of our situation as a Strong G5 and stepping stone spot......but on the topic of Riley ......I say good riddance....He didn't prove too much in my opinion.....I don't care who his brother is. Now that I said that watch him become the Nick Saban of twenty years from now Gues...

Re: #19 In Final AP Poll

I'm with him up until the scheduling part. No way the conference championship games should be eliminated. I don't know what he's thinking there but it makes zero sense to me. There are all kinds of ideas and arguments for and against expansion. No idea will ever be 100% accepted. It will be akin to...

Re: Way too early top 25

Theoretically you could add another power conference made up of : App UCF Memphis Cincinnati Boise LaLa (maybe) SMU Navy Someone add 2 more Or theoretically you make football only power conferences with some existing P5’s being relegated to G5 status. We all know that a good chunk of the P5’s exist ...

I know it’s 2020 but wow- Luke retires at 28. I would not have blamed him years ago when he was laid out on the field. Top 10 Panther all time.

Re: #19 In Final AP Poll

Love it! Sad to see that after an 11-3 season, the Cajuns received just 2 votes from the AP. Shows the overall lack of respect for the Belt. Nothing to do but keep winning. Guess they needed to beat Mississippi State and us to get ranked. ULL did not deserve any votes. They are a solid team but to ...

Re: #19 In Final AP Poll

I do think the playoffs should and will eventually expand. I don't think he needs to expand beyond 8, but that feels like the right number to me. The P5 has resisted this so far, but programs are already changing positions based on the exclusion of conferences from the playoff. Conceptually, there ...

Re: #19 In Final AP Poll

I would love to see them use the final AP ranking as the first for next year. There should be no assumptions as to how a team will do the following season. LSU should remain number 1 until they lose despite the roster changes. Same for us- remain at 19 then move up or down depending on the results.

Re: #19 In Final AP Poll

Awesome. Of course the “way too early” top 25 has us noticeably missing with the usual 7-6 P5 teams on the list. Gotta fight our way in and up but we know the drill. Go Apps!

Re: FCS National Championship Game

NDSU or JMU either one would be a dangerous game for anybody in the SunBelt, including App. They are good enough to take advantage of opportunities and execute. That said, I don't think they would have trouble getting through a G5 schedule on a week to week basis. They don't have the depth to rotat...

Re: FCS National Championship Game

Again, my original post was not a comparison of FCS to FBS - I think you have gotten a little off track - My original statement was NDS and JMU were two good teams who could be at least .500 in the SB and at the top of the MAC - that way all I was trying to say - I totally get you and I agree. I ha...

Lol it’s just a replica of what is on the east side. Doubtful they spend $50M to end up with a cut off Mountaineers. This crowd can pick apart anything positive with the best of them.
I’m sure. Just kidding but it is kind of funny.

I hope that they spell Mountaineers correctly on the fascia of the new building. The rendering has it as Mountainee
