Re: Satterfield

It’s pretty much a given that as far as conference affiliation goes we are kind of stuck for a while so no matter how powerful we become as a program our ceiling is about defined. We beat stuff to death and contemplate what bowl we could or should play in and dream of at least being in the NY6 but o...

Re: Satterfield

Would Satt leave App to coach at Delusional U? Y’all know that school. Big time boosters expect said school to compete for the National Championship every year and don’t tolerate either rebuilding or a down year. He can also go to Middle of the Pack U- bigger paychecks but constant 7-5 seasons becau...

Re: Myrtle Beach Bowl

Kind of a downer if we end up in a bowl played in a stadium smaller than any we play in all year. Guess an upside would be that it would look like last Saturday

Re: UNCC Game Thread

Anyone else notice how many tackles Tobias Edge-Campbell made Saturday? Either he dropped some weight and moved to defense or his duplicate number player D’Marco Jackson was who he meant? Lol. At any rate couldn’t they figure that out with a spotter?

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM

I'm not worried about getting to Boone...I'm worried about there being gas to fill the car up for the drive. Stations in Raleigh are already out of gas...hopefully there aren't as many panicked yankees in the Triad as there are here. Getting really bad in Fayetteville as well. BJ’s several cars dee...

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM

Even if we are ok to play Saturday isn’t there an issue with folks driving west from all points east of Boone on Friday? Even though the campus and Boone area might be ok people don’t need to drive west especially in strong winds. Driving on the highway in even 40 MPH winds can be dicey

Re: Vegas Line vs Southern Miss

Let’s see. We are really good and scoring over 40 per, at home versus a not so great team that was tight with La Monroe. More easy money if one is a betting person

Hmm. I predicted 45-7, thinking the 9'ers would score at least one touchdown. They ended up with three field goals, so I missed it by two points since it came out 45-9. Seems like another poster in the thread hit it straight on the money.
I was 41-9. Actually figured on 3 FG’s- lol

Western..nah. Some really older guys might miss playing Catawba or LR. As someone said, moved on. As I sat and watched yesterday and then saw how PSU blasted ACC member Pitt I thought, we are big time now.

Re: UNCC Game Thread

By the start of the second half their student section was 90% empty. By the end of the 3rd quarter it was 99% black and gold. Booing the ref was hilarious. If their quarterback #17 isn’t really sore today I’m stunned. They hit one downfield pass of note due to a blown assignment. We could have easil...

Re: UNCC Game Thread

Had to wait til we got home. Glorified home game, especially the entire 4th quarter. Dominant showing with a huge disparity in talent. They obviously loaded up to stop Jalen but we simply have too many weapons. Hell we ran the identical play twice in a row and got 10 yards a pop. Even overcame shaky...

Re: I'm curious, quick poll

Man that’s tough. For me none of the losses as FCS. Wake because we were at home maybe- but we used to beat them a good bit. How about Miami? First big time school at home? Maybe. Penn State- I think I go with that game even more than UGA or Clemson. If the criteria is games we should have won then...

Re: SI article on PSU

Drag out the dead horse. Obviously there is a perceived and typically real difference in talent between the top programs and the “mid tier” levels. We seem to be narrowing the gap just a bit by finding those guys who are not 4 and 5 star blue chippers but do have talent, skills and desire. The last ...

Re: We Stay at #39 in Coaches Poll

That's how much anyone is paying attention and giving us credit. A load of manure. It's all about winning, the rest of the nation doesn't care about almost winning. It's about winning and moving on. Hence why Penn st is still at 10 and did not drop. Have to find ways to start winning these games. B...
